The Lyrics

(Nitpickers: song was originally recorded in 1976 by Vicki Sue Robinson)
Had enough, had enough, turn the volume down!
Had enough, had enough, turn the volume down!
Had enough, had enough, turn the volume down!
Had enough, had enough, turn the volume down!

'Cause it's too damn loud
Should be no discussion
Turn the volume down
Should be no discussion
Please reduce it

In the heart of the city
Car radios keep blastin' out the tunes from Diddy
When I hear the crunk of bass guitars pumpin'
I get a migraine, my head starts to thumpin'

Man, it's too damn loud
'Bout to have concussion
Turn the volume down
'Bout to have concussion
Hate to hear it

Man, it's too damn loud
Sorry for my fussin'
Turn the volume down
Sorry for my fussin'
Hate to hear it

Hey playah, you're the root cause
Of my stress when you turn your radio on
To close car windows cannot isolate it
That 'oompah oompah' rhythm, can't tolerate it (oh! oh!)
'Cause when your big-ass woofer starts pulsing
With the syncopated rhythm, with the 'thunk! thunk! thunk!'
Makes me rattle in my body-- Augh! Augh! Augh!
And when your Hummer goes running down the street
I clench my teeth to this agitating schism
Take a bat, bat, bat, bat, bat, bat to your thumbs, YEAH!

Man, it's too damn loud
Police intervention!
Turn the volume down
Police intervention!

Hate to hear it
Please delete it
Can't ignore it
I abhor it...yeah!

Turn it off, turn it off, stop the music now
Turn it off, turn it off, stop the music now
Turn it off, turn it off, stop the music now
Turn it off, turn it off, stop the music now

Man, it's too damn loud
Yo, it's all noise pollution
Turn the volume down
Seems there's no solution
Oh my mymymmymmymymy...

Man, it's too damn loud
Yo, it's all noise pollution
Turn the volume down
Seems there's no solution
Ah, forget it!

(ABC S/T) What, no v/c's? Well, I'm going to v/c on this now! This is a great satire, Agri! This went perfect with the OS! Yeah, all that loud sounds and noise pollution will cause headaches! Also a teen parents' nightmare as well. Lowering 555 decibels for this one!

(ABC) 555 decibals lower, but also 555 laughs higher!!

Ag - Nice title switch and a decent rundown on the boomer cars out there that shake whole city blocks when they traverse them. One problem though. I don't get what you mean by "Schism". Schism means: "division of a group into opposing factions". This part of the parody makes no sense to me. Otherwise, well done. >BR>
But, of course I have a habit of beating up the language many times when I write as you so well know, so I'm cuttin' ya slack on this. I'm with ya on bashing these mobile earthquakes. I always seem to be right next to one at a very long red light. I want to scream when this happens and sometimes I do.

ABC (ST): Wait a minute...Diddy is still making music!? Oh well, this is an excellent spoof! Great work!

Taking the opposite approach on this classic--not an easy song. . .I prefer Gloria's take to Vicki's any day but both are on my computer

Well done here Aggy! I remember challenging you to pull this one off in Karaoke Revolutionized and you did an excellent job with it. I know I read this one many times before but I'm surprised that this was the first time I actually commented.

(ABC5) There's only one thing worse than incredibly loud music: incredibly loud kareoke-singers who can't sing when you're trying to sleep (true story there). Brilliant work here, Agri. 555!

(ABC S & T) Great take on a tough song, I enjoy rattling windows with classic rock, GG Allin or the Insane Clown Posse and the El Cheapo Wal-Mart sound system in my car, but I've never had to hear from a cop about it. 555 decibels.

(ABC Tournament) Nice to read this again. Let's just enjoy 555 minutes of silence!

Before I started using noise-reduction headphones, my parents were forced to hear the blastbeats of my power metal music over my headphones, of which I had to turn up uber-loud to compensate for car noise. 555 to this clever parody.
