He made up his mind,
And he cancelled Christmas,
He knew it when he looked outside that day;
He went into his room and told his Missus;
That he wasn't going without even having a sleigh

He gathered the elves;
And he started talking;
He told them he had something sad to say;
He told the reindeer to get used to walking;
'Cause they weren't flying without even having a sleigh

Anyone could see that dasher and dancer and prancer too;
Comet and cupid and vixen were blue;
And donner and blitzen and rudolph said "we're through."
Santa said they had to go out there and find the sleigh;
And battle the bumble if he came their way;
Nothing must stop them, they had to find it today, today...

The hours went by;
They wound up in Whoville;
When Hermie saw something up in a cave;
The Grinch was getting toy sacks ready to fill;
And drive down the mountain because he had stole Santa's sleigh.

All the reindeer and the elves ran right up to the Grinch's side;
Accused him of stealing to which he replied;
"I know it's not my sleigh, I just needed a ride."
Then the Grinch and Santa put all the presents in to the sleigh;
There wasn't much time it was near Christmas day;
They had to get moving, there was no time to waste...to wait....

Anyone could see that Santa just wanted to get the toys;
Under the trees of the good girls and boys;
And thanks to his helpers, he was still employed;
When he got back home he could hear all the people say;
"I wonder why the Grinch stole Santa's sleigh, but he got it back now;
so Christmas day is saved, today!"
