(Chorus, Poetic Runner #2)

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh.
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.

Me lacin up, time for a Long Slow Distance session.
Now I'm runnin that endorphin's sendin me straight to heaven.

(Poetic Runner #4)

Run run run until me fly.
I'm gettin runner's high and touchin the sky.
I'm feelin so blissed. (Fans on the streets peep game, take notice).
So buddy, just peep game and listen.
I'm a fiend for that endorphin.
It's the runner's high we endorsin.
I need good shoes like Nikes or Pearl Izumis from Achilles.
Lace up and get with us we'll school you.
Some say the runner's high aint true.
Don't let them fool you.

(Poetic Runner #2)

Now I be runnin in my Reeboks gettin L.S.D-ded.
Then bustin rhymes in your beat box, your ears gettin heated.
How we be runnin in the heat.
We be runnin in the rain.
We be runnin in the cold.
Fellas think we insane.
Every $100.00 I get gonna buy the best shoes.
And get with my trues.
We gonna meet at the park for an 8:00 start.
Run for as long as we choose.
I never knew no one who could run all day like me.
And yes we runner's high and why?
Cause we be blissin.

(Poetic Runner #3)

Me lacin em up.
Me be liftin up on this Long Slow Distance.
Me feelin the urge, endorphins surge
And high enough when me be blissin.
Me run and run.
Feelin it go straight to the brain.
Yeah it takes away the pain.
As well as the stress and strain.
So me run and then me lift.
And then my spirits start beamin.
Me love to run.
Me love to run.
Cause me be blissin.

(Repeat Chorus, Poetic Runner #2)

Zen Master Z - April 14, 2009 - Report this comment
Just yesterday someone who I gave my lyrics to said they were great and is going to record with and produce for me. This producer was really fascinated how I have been able to take the runners high and make it blend in with the modern rap themes. If and when I record an album the title of it is going to be Runner's High Times.
