Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Hard to believe you're the same guy, Stephon
Once you were king of the court
Fans loved you late with the game tied, Stephon
Now you seem out of the sport
No other sports town has a burden like you
No player is harder to trade
You make twenty mil but I'm certain that you
Should not get one red cent when you're paid

No one sits like Stephon
Is the pits like Stephon
Might as well throw a ball using mitts like Stephon
Fame and fortune you found gave you hubris
Flew high like Bellerophon
But because you were stubborn and stupid
Your star that burned bright is now buried and gone

No one irks like Stephon
Never works like Stephon
No one disappears like Captain Kirk like Stephon
An embarrassment, yes, he's humiliating
Yech, he's a wreck, that Stephon

End of the bench
Is where he'll stay
Stephon's gonna rest
While professionals play

No one feuds like Stephon
Has bad moods like Stephon
No one ought to be viciously booed like Stephon
At least now there's no reason to worry
That you'll see him turn over the ball
He's in better shape than Eddy Curry
But Stephon will certainly not play at all

No one wastes like Stephon
Is disgraced like Stephon
Makes me wish he'd leave New York post-haste like Stephon
Since Isiah was good at big mess creating
He gave us Stephon

When he was a kid he had zero tattoos
He worked on his handle and shot
And now Stephon has like a million tattoos
I ask does that help him? It does not

Who's a Mensch? Not Stephon
What's that stench? It's Stephon
Making tickets cost more on the bench, bye Stephon
Once the GM can figure out how to trade him
Yech, what a wreck, Stephon

Man, you have a talent for AVOIDING attention I'm convinced. Not familiar with this part of sports as much as I'd like, but great rhyme scheme throughout

It would only be a talent if I were trying to avoid attention, which I'm obviously not trying to do at all. The everyday at amiright crowd doesn't seem to be much into current sports as a general rule, but there are exceptions and I'd hoped to get their attention but alas it is not to be. If only I could get 21 million dollars a year to have people pretend I don't exist.

My 9 year old son and I don't know who Stephon is , but we both came across this tonight in our debate over which Beauty and The Beast and had a good laugh (and yours was the first DECENT Gaston parody we found that was any good). Thanks for the smiles!

Okay, so I'm submitting a parody to this song, and I'm finding it lots of fun. There are only 14 here, but it could easily be dozens; I really can't emphasize how much fun it is. Anyway. I'm not the biggest NBA fan, but this is really really good; love it. I'm updating my All-Time Favorites list tonight and this is going on it.
