Probably because someone would play the evolution card!
Hillary has the nomination sewn up through the system of "Super Delegates" who vote outside the primary/caucus mechanism. How's this for a radical idea: Trump/Sanders for President/Vice President? The pissed-off angry voting bloc should carry the election this year.
