Although being replaced in Germany, the MG-3 will be retained by Armies around the world. At 1300-1500 rpm, it is the greatest single-barrel MG in history, feared by everyone who faced it. Only the aircraft MG-81 was faster at 1600 rpm. Stukas used them in gunpods in triplicate to fire 4800 rpm down 30o for strafing and the SaMaKa or Fire Dragon used 8 synchronized to fire 12800 rpm against aircraft as flak! No aircraft ever took one out. Tempests tried to fire rockets against it but could never get close! Me-262 jets were protected by it as well as the Fw-190D Doras as escorts.

You make a good point Jon. Barney and the Gang were singing the basics back in the 1990s. Shouldn't kids shows be more realistic in the 2010s with the reality of pedophiles, ISIS, poisoned drinking water, etc...??? You gave me an idea Jon ;-)
