The Lyrics

In the 1950s, Britain under Project Blue Peacock wanted to plant nuclear landmines in North West Germany to foil a massive Soviet/WP armored invasion. The nuclear landmines weighed 7.2 tons and were of 10kt strength. But German cold weather could freeze the electronics and detonate the weapon which had no safeguards. So, it was planned to encase chickens inside a circular casing with food & water above to generate heat for a week or two and then cycle them. Not worth the effort. Project cancelled in 1958.
Backyard nukes,
10kt each,
British Blue Peacock was very weak
7.2 tons,
Detonation wire or 8 day timer were crude,
They also needed chicken heat in the winter too!!!

Backyard nukes,
1950s,
North German Plain was thoroughly screened
Absurd as such,
The new German Army didn't approve,
US nuke howitzers were their substitute!!!

[German field commanders had approval to use the howitzers under the same armored enemy scenario]
Note: Israel retains more modern nuclear landmines on the northern border...

The first stanza could be the worst paced stanza ever seen at Amiright. But five people think the pacing is perfect. Hmm
