Song Parodies -> "F' Your Views"

Original Song Title:

"I Love You"

Original Performer:

Barney and the Backyard Gang

Parody Song Title:

"F' Your Views"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

F' your views,
Critic sleaze,
Commentary is NOT parody
When push comes to shove,
I'm established and beat you,
Your old vet days are through, yes through..

F' your views,
You should be writing more parodies
11 year crunch,
Went away was your excuse,
Mr. X, who cares about you?

I write what I want and there's nothing you can do!
Go write of the mundane like your old school crew!
12 parodies a year doesn't suit you
Unless you lack a proper muse...

The German production machine has buried you

[" Quantity has a quality of it's own" ~ attributed to Stalin or Glantz*]
* it took 11:1 to defeat Nazi Germany in men and material and took 6 years with 3 major powers, Resistance fighters, and Lend-lease. Still, Germany killed the bulk of the estimated revised 80 million dead and ruined the Atlantic with 20 million tons sunk; to destruction stretching from France all the way to within 10 miles of Moscow; to N Africa, the Balkans, eastern Europe, and Italy. Germany got off easy, rebuilt, and reunified to fight another day.

Wow, Rob. I don’t know what to say. I’m honored that you decided to immortalize your wacky opinion of me in one of your masterpieces. I admit I thought about writing one for you as well, but I’m glad I didn’t; there’s no way mine could possibly compare to this work of art -- I especially like the way you cram in all those extra syllables to make it look like it was written by an actual preschooler, with zero sense of timing, meter, or humor. Nice touch. I forgot to vote, though -- do me a favor and get that for me, will ya? And while you’re at it, throw an extra dozen or so on the pile so people will really know what a fantastic piece of work this is. Hell, if a piece of crap like “Shakespearean Pie” can get over a hundred real votes, then something of this caliber should easily be worth that many fake ones. Seriously, keep up the good work. Riveting stuff.

Keep commenting CP, it's what you're best at!

You flatter me, sir. I've never juggled multiple personas in a pathetic attempt to simulate an entire fan base though, so you're way ahead of me. Always remember: YNFA (You're Not Fooling Anyone). Don't forget those votes, champ; they're not gonna appear by themselves!

right you are, "champ." those votes aren't gonna appear by themselves, so here's one from me! 455

Here's to Jonathan's 455, the score he repeats like the belch that follows his downing of a bag of pork rinds, a pack of Yankee Doodles, and a quart of Pepsi. As for you, Rob, when you have to write a self-aggrieved, simulated parody, complete with learned footnotes about your blessed Nazi heroes, then it's time for you to pack up your 5s generator and be a guest in a house of rest. How the hell did this garbage get accepted? I give you < 1s and I give Claude 5s for his hilariously sarcastic comment. His OS for that was "Some Enchanted Evening," and the pacing is spot-on. I'm off to savour some more of his past parodies.

C(ra)P, how do explain TCOP's, Matthias', and other vets with no comments that get the same 5 votes all the time? I think most people here just 5 their buddies. You don't have to leave comments to vote. I regularly vote 5s for most parodies and I only leave comments when I want to. So do other people. JAB got auto-5s for anything he wrote even if only a few knew WTF he was talking about. Lately, though people started to not rate him 5s or at all. This isn't the same site it used to be back in the early 2000s. And like I stated earlier I have 750+ individual authors spanning all genres and running from 1930s-2010. In traditional songs, I run the roud index from 1700s forward. Who the F-ck do you think you're messing with, you pathetic 130 parody clown? You are a nobody to me. Where are all your new parodies? All you do is stalk and spam the comments section daily. When YOU hit 1000, 2000, 3000, and soon to be 4000 parodies let me know. And you can't rate all my parodies of over 6 years based on the Barney blocks or SJH Spells. JAB did hundreds of Spells and blocks of songs too, you hypocrite! I also have 4257 entertainment submissions here and of 9 categories am Number 1 in 7 of them. What have you contributed while I was sustaining 100+ parodies a month for years and 300+ per month counting entertainment submissions? Answer: nothing! Do a parody search for The Raven or my Oblivion series and say I have no talent. I've done the majority of 7 top songs to parody as well. And I was the one here who really stretched out using unconventional materials, pushing the envelope. You spent 11 years on 130 measly parodies and you do not rate solid 5s for all of them. I saw your page. Lots of mediocre ratings like everyone else. I'm guessing my overall rating for 3836 parodies is greater than your average for your 130!!! So run along CP and try to think up something witty to say because you need to have the last word like the little, whiny B-tch you are instead of writing parodies. You're muse is dead and at least I can say that my topics educated a lot of people too. The information alone is worth checking out. Your avg AiR author writes of the mundane. I write primarily about war, weapons, women, and weird facts. Geopolitical, historical, and scientific things too. I wrote THIS for fun :-))

It's true that Rob's parodies frequently aren't even in the ball park for syllable-matching. But you can't fault his energy or determination.

Rob, as you pointed out yourself, I’ve been around this place for a very long time. You’re not the first vote inflater and you won’t be the last. I know what it looks like. Don’t bother trying to explain everything like some pretentious Columbo villain who thinks he’s such a genius nobody could possibly figure out what he’s been up to. It’s simple: you can focus on quantity or you can focus on quality. You can’t do one and pretend the other is there. We’re not as stupid as you think. I’m really just trying to save you the time and effort of desperately creating your ridiculous illusion. And you’ll have that much more time left over for your many many delightful masterpieces. It’s a win-win. You are right that I’m spending way too much time here, though. Hopefully I’m done now; this just happens to be my favorite website of all time, and I really dislike what’s become of it. Plus I thought you should know how you’re perceived by actual people. Good luck, Number Two.

Claude Prez's ratings were a result of honest peer reviews. Arndt's ratings are pure nonsense. 15 fives for a parody of I Love You that has half a dozen pacing mistakes. Ridiculous
