Out of 4000 species of roach, only the German type loves living indoors and can digest about anything. They're even found in bunkers attracted to heat, so they gather in machinery and use plumbing as a highway. They can fly but prefer to run instead. They do not like the outdoors which provides plenty of food for normal roaches like the Asian variety. German roaches will also wait for up to 30 days for any food. They are most likely to survive any apocalypse using NBC weapons. The Bundeswehr has toyed with them as bio weapons for recon and sabotage!
