"Mystery U"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

UB-85, a German submarine in WW1, was sunk by HMS Coreopsis on April 30, 1918 off the coast of Belfast. It was caught on the surface and the 34 crew abandoned her and were rescued, interrogated. An internet legend arose around 2005 based on a rumor that the Captain said that the previous night the sub was attacked by an unknown sea monster that damaged the vessel and forced her up. This mystery has now been solved. The UB-85 was discovered last year. It was sonar scanned and photographed. No creature damage. It surfaced because an open hatch partially flooded the sub!
Mystery U,
Type UB III,
Was sunk in '18 in the Irish Sea
Crypto-nudge,
A sea monster attacked the boat and the crew
Forced to surface, the Brits got you!

Mystery U,
Found in '16,
Sea monster claim was worth destroying
Boat faced flood,
A hatch open was the excuse
No Plesiosaurus did attack you!!!

Note: prior to this incident, on July 30, 1915, U-28 sunk a British steamer Iberian and spotted a strange sea creature in the debris field about 60 ft long with sharp teeth comparable to a crocodile! But this was the N Atlantic ocean!
