Song Parodies -> I Did Some Chores In A Store From The Yore
| Original Song Title: | "Fool For Your Loving" |
| Original Performer: | Whitesnake |
| Parody Song Title: | "I Did Some Chores In A Store From The Yore" |
| Parody Written by: | Peter Andersson a.k.a K1chyd |
As for the titles here the original's is never sung as a stand alone line so I've taken the liberty to let mine be descriptive rather than matching (and had the entry field allowed it would have been "I did some chores for a whore in a store from the yore"). This song was a real biatch to pace anyway, at one point during the writing I feared I'd be old myself before I got it together decent, it started of as "fooled on this one day no more" with a certain day of April in mind and (d)evolved into "drooling through loving no more" with whatfreaks.com in mind before it finally came together as a coherent story clean enough for the regular site (or so I hope). That said: Watch where you're going boys...
I sought porn under an old sign
But out of the cold
T'was a lonely shop, God knows
Lust shut the door to grow mold
While I looked at the floozies
An' turned pages of shame
She was moving, moving in
Yeah, I ain't taking the blame
She'd been locking the door
God knows I ran for the can
A dominatrix's decor
Just takes the breath out a man
I had to pay to get away
I did some chores for a whore from the yore
Some chores in a second hand store
I was used for plumbin'
I don't think that's becomin'
Sure, I was ghastly abhorred
During my chores for that whore from the yore
Was used for outlet relieving
She kept me working too long
No state of the art, but she knew a la carte
And dammit, she was too strong
She'd been blocking the phone
At first I screamed all I can
An old warty floozie unknown
Just takes the spunk out a man
I had to pay to get away
I did some chores for a whore from the yore
Some chores that I didn't care for
I was used for swabbin'
And all types of hand jobbin'
Sure didn't help to implore
During my chores for that whore in her store
I'll do such chores for a whore from the yore
No more!
No more!
(Picking Strings)
I had to pay to get away
I did some chores for a whore from the yore
And had to use stuff from her drawer
When pleased she was hummin'
She looked like she was comin'
Back from the Second World War
I'm not going there anymore
No more!
No more!
Not going there anymore
Having once got out the door
Not going there anymore
Have the bat call for the corps
Not going there anymore
I'm fooled only once heretofore
But out of the cold
T'was a lonely shop, God knows
Lust shut the door to grow mold
While I looked at the floozies
An' turned pages of shame
She was moving, moving in
Yeah, I ain't taking the blame

Seems like a hard song to parody, but it was every well done, and pretty funny
I was kind of expecting a Whitesnake offering, given your comments on mine: but I wasn't expecting *this* ;-)
Matthias - "Fool For Your Loving" is classic early Whitesnake (very bluesy, not the American metal they turned into to try and increase sales). Well worth a listen. Reminds me I've got an "Ain't no love in the heart of the city" on the drawing board somewhere... I found an old Lovehunter parody not long ago, too: I guess that'll go well with some of my recent fairly obscure OSs :-)

Seems that you bore well on tackling this chore. I'm giving you 3 more but they are not fours. 555
Not a bad OS (congrats on the first submission of it), though I think I like later Whitesnake stuff better. Great stuff, and very cleverly done.
Cool parody, 555
