The Lyrics

Try clicking the following links to see whether they googlewhack to this page :-)
post-triassic poodle
blastocytic bugle
neliphantine noodle
orgasmotronic oodle
...it might take google a while to catch up, though...

Googlewhack!
A-googlewhack!

To have two words must be a knack
That get just one hit
In a googlewhack
The google-bug's into my brain
I gotta try, try, try
Till I can do the same

But it annoys me
Can't get it right
I hit thirty-thousand websites
Tryin' hard and I admit it
I've been scheming - this should work when I submit it

[Chorus:]
Look it up - one hit on google
Googlewhack a "post-triassic poodle"
Look it up - one hit on google
Isn't it bliss when you can hit that site
Look it up - one hit on google
'cause I'll blow a "blastocytic bugle"
Look it up - one hit on google
What a marvellous sight

I had a hit-count into the tens
Made it more obscure, then I tried it again
Turned a hand to phrases absurd
But it's really easy if you make up the word

And if I'm crazy
'f I'm a fool
Thinking googlewhacks are so cool
I'll keep trying for an age
When you're looking
Only hit will be this page

[Chorus:]
Look it up - one hit on google
Googlewhack a "neliphantine noodle"
Look it up - one hit on google
Isn't it bliss when you can hit this site
Look it up - one hit on google
I'll opt for "orgasmotronic oodle"
Look it up - one hit on google
What a marvellous sight
Here at amiright, yeah, yeah, yeah

Make it up, maybe, ain't so neat
"Neliphantine" is a real cheat
Just one try, and then it's gone
Won't register
At googlewhack.com

[Chorus to fade]

You put a giggle into Google.....Google's great! Fun to Google your own screen name.. for an Andy Warhol-ish fifteen seconds of fame..

0 for 4 on those Google links, but good parody. I have Googled a few things that I wrote and they come up as #1 on Google. Google the word " Mastabata " and it comes up as #5 as I left it on a comment on someones " Macarena " parody. Also the word I coined a few days ago " twatical " has only 3 listings but I am #1. My parody called " Tw***cal ( for K1chyd )" is also #1( not sure if that is a good or bad thing, but I take it to mean that I did infact coin a new word, just as you probably will have soon the #1 Google searches on the words you used ). ;-) PS- I did a quick Google search for YOUR NAME, and you are #1. ;-)

> 0 for 4 on those Google links
Ah yes... now - but that means that once google's indexed them, they'll be googlewhacks linking to this page :-)
I do the occasional search for my name/parodies - it's nice to know I pip people like the editor of Kerrang magazine

AFW...every time I try to Google my screen name I get a bunch of crap about some place called Middle Earth...; )

Clever idea and well executed. Good luck in your pursuit of Googlewhack fame.

As the inventor of the words "georgelucasy" (for really crappy movie dialogue between two people supposedly in love), "bourgeoiscene" (self-explanatory) and the phrase "(Starbucks) Coffee Latte-ry" that all three so far only google back to my stuff I can identify with this. Didn't expect to see a parody about it though. :-)

Sounds like a Johnny Carson "Carnac" joke: "One hit on Google."... Did the Mets do better against Google or Randy Johnson?

One hit on Google and the world's your oyster... or was that one night in bangkok?
Phil Alexander - May 18, 2005 - Report this comment
Thanks, JD... but compared to some of the stuff around, I think that's a bit over-generous :-)
Michael - would that be a baseball reference? I'm not too hot on minority sports ;-)
Michael Pacholek - May 21, 2005 - Report this comment
Phil: You like soccer and cricket, don't you? If you don't want those to be considered "minority sports," go back in time and reverse the Battle of Saratoga!
Phil Alexander - May 22, 2005 - Report this comment
Soccer? Oh, you mean football...
