Parody Song Title:

"Its Superbowl Sunday"

Parody Written by:

Mikey F

The Lyrics

written while watching the game...
I cant believe the game's today
oh, I cant close my eyes, or miss the play by play
How long?
how long must this game go on?
how long how long

'cause tonight,
one of the teams had won
tonight

pissed off coaches after their team's defeat
after this long match where two teams meet
but I wont head the coaches call
it makes the teams
it makes the teams go and get the ball

Its superbowl sunday
Its superbowl sunday
Its superbowl sunday
(Its superbowl sunday, c'mon teams lets go)

and the battles just began
theyve got the ball, but tell me who has won
the ball was dropped at the games start
and coaches, Qb's, tackles, linemen torn apart

Its superbowl sunday
Its superbowl sunday

How long?
how long must this game go on?
how long how long

'cause tonight,
one of the teams had won
tonight

Its superbowl sunday (tonight)
tonight
Its superbowl sunday(Tonight)
come watch some

score a touchdown tonight
pass the ball today
throw the ball away
(its superbowl sunday)
the player is off-sides
(Its superbowl sunday)

Its superbowl sunday(Its superbowl sunday)
Its superbowl sunday(Its superbowl sunday)
(Which team won?)

and its true it ends too soon
when that is fiction and tv reality
and today the losers die
they pass and kick and tomarow theyll cry

the real battle yet we see(Its superbowl sunday)
is seven nights of World Series(Its superbowl sunday)
oh,

Its superbowl Sunday
Its superbowl sunday

Hey Mike, I gave you a 4 for pacing but I thought this was a well conceived parody. I just can't get the chorus to fit. I actually heard a parody sorta like this on the radio for last year's Super Bowl, but you have more original verses...as far as original can be for football, anyway :)

Nice turnaround time on the parody!

But can anything top a wonky Super Bowl that should've been annonced by (Twilight Zone hosts) Rod Serling and Forrest Whittaker?
