Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Ravyn Rant did a parody Take Me Off of Your Spam List which for some reason made me think of this song.

This is for anyone who's been forwarded what I call a liveware virus: someone who ain't intelligent enough to write their own sends an email saying "This file is a virus, delete it and pass the message on" - exactly what a lot of viruses do for themselves, but in this case getting the gullible users to do it for them...
Take me off your spam list
Yeah, right off your spam list
Take me off your spam list - it's a bore

To all you gals and blokeses
Who forward stupid hoaxes
Go get a Life, don't pass along
Inane emails that tire us
About some phoney virus
Please check 'em 'fore you get it wrong

Take me off your spam list
Yeah, right off your spam list
Take me off your spam list - such a bore

If I sound condescending
Your spam is neverending
I don't want twenty-year-old jokes from you
They're all so trite and jaded
Boring and overrated
If that's your best, your best won't do

No.....................
NO!!!
I know
It's free
But no
Not me

Take me off your spam list
Yeah, right off your spam list
Take me off your spam list - it's a bore

Take me off your spam list
Yeah, right off your spam list
Take me off your spam list - it's a bore
Right now!

No.....................
NO!!!
Unless
You do
I'll ig-
Nore you

Take me off your spam list
Yeah, right off your spam list
Take me off your spam list - it's a bore

Take me off your spam list
Yeah, right off your spam list
Take me off your spam list - it's a bore

(Just you try and send it)
Take me off your spam list
(Come On!)
Yeah, right off your spam list
(..and not some time next week)
Take me off your spam list - it's a bore
(Now drop it - you've sent plenty)
Take me off your spam list
(No email!)
Yeah, right off your spam list
(Oh, you and your computer!)
Take me off your spam list - it's a bore

Do remind them to delete the "virus" file, say NTOSKRNL.EXE after they pass it on to everyone ;-) Just struck me I left the rant off the beginning... something like

What's this? A "Twisted Outlook" icon? I install a virus checker and a firewall, and you install that, that Microsoft EMAIL CLIENT? So tell me, Mister Sister - WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO WITH THAT FILE?

I'd probably respond "I'm gonna BLOCK" (as in "Block Sender")...same artist, but the prologue's from a different song. Anyway...5's all round on this one.

"twenty-year-old jokes" are one syllable more than "nothing, nothing", but still possible to stress through in an OK way, so here's a 4,9-5-5 that of course will have to be another 555.

Nice job on a problematical issue.

That might not do much to get rid of spam, but it gets out your inhibitions. I'm so glad we have this website. There is nothing like opinions set to music to be persuasive.

Peter, I think you'll find that the original is "nothing, not a thing"...
Ingeborg - that'll work - sort of "Send that stuff to me? All I'm gonna say is if you're sendin' it this way I say No! No! No! No!"
:-)

Maybe I should report for duty in the misheard lyrics section then...
I used to own this album, and I sang your parody through from memory, always thought it was nothing x 2 with a bit of higher pitch on the second o, guess I was and am wrong both there and here.
