The Lyrics

Part 4 of 32 songs by The Residents, turned into advertisements for actual products and companies.
DOMINICK'S (Parody of "Loss of Innocence:"--track 19.)
Hate to interrupt your songs
We're on a selling streak
We got a sale of "2 for 1"
At Dominick's this week

The produce section's Salad Days--
Tomatoes and lettuce
Cucumbers, leeks and jicama
The freshest are from us

Our bakery has cherry pies
Varieties of bread
Quench your thirst with Crystal Light
And Koolaid for the kids

There's Bonus Coupons in our stores
Only this Saturday
An extra bags of Fritos Chips
For every one you pay

Get boneless, round-eye sirloin
And pork chops, veal cutlets too
Just this week, and this we swear
Buy one pound, you'll get two!

We hope our service is the best
We hope you'll get your kicks
These are the bargains hap-'ning now
This week at Dominick's

STRIDEX (Parody of "The Simple Song"--track 20)
She has pimples
He has pimples
I have pimples too
Stridex will remove our pimples
Then we will look cool

ALMOND JOY/MOUNDS (Parody of "Ups and Downs"--track 21)
She was offering me a candy bar
Said I was her boy
But her offer was refused
I can't eat Almond Joy
I said that I had allergies
'Twas Mounds that I adore
She joked, "Sometimes I feel like a nut"
And then she closed the door

WHITEHALL JEWELERS (Parody of "Possessions"--track 23)
Are you into silver?
Are you into gold?
Stop now into Whitehall
We won't be undersold!

Only marginally familiar with the Residents, so can't comment per se, but it's an ambitious and clever project.
