Parody Song Title:

"I'm Gonna Sleep (24 Hours)"

The Lyrics

When I wake up
Well I know I'm going to sleep
I'm gonna be the girl who goes right back to sleep

Alarm goes off
And I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the one who hits the snooze alarm

If I get I up
I just know it's gonna be
It's gonna be about three hours after eight

And if I'm left here
Well, I know I'm going to sleep
I'm going to sleep here in bed - perhaps for all day

And I would sleep twenty-four hours
And I would sleep twenty-four more
Just to be the girl who wakes up with no under-eye bags any more

If I'm working
And I'm getting bored with work
Then my impulse is to go straight back to bed

If I'd money
Coming from my uni work
Then you'd never see me for the double quilt

I visit home
And I know it's gonna be
It's gonna be peaceful enough to stay asleep

And if I have chance
Well I know I'm gonna take
I'm gonna take a chance to spend weekend bed

And I would sleep twenty-four hours
And I would sleep twenty-four more
Just to be the girl who wakes up with no under-eye bags any more

Keep on snoring
Keep on snoozing
Keep on resting
Keep on dozing
Keep on sleeping in a warm and peaceful bed

Keep on snoring
Keep on snoozing
Keep on resting
Keep on dozing
Keep on sleeping in a warm and peaceful bed

When I'm lonely
I just know I'm gonna have
I'm going to have the old and battered teddy bear

And when I'm dreaming
I just know I'll fall asleep
I'll fall asleep not long after I am awake

When I go out
I just know it's gonna be
Half a day to find the energy to move

When I come back
I just know that it it's cold
I won't think twice about diving back into bed
I won't think twice about diving back into bed

And I would sleep twenty-four hours
And I would sleep twenty-four more
Just to be the girl who wakes up with no under-eye bags any more

Keep on snoring
Keep on snoozing
Keep on resting
Keep on dozing
Keep on sleeping in a warm and peaceful bed

I am snoring
I am snoozing
I am resting
I am dozing
I am sleeping in a warm and peaceful bed

I like snoring
I like snoozing
I like resting
I like dozing
I like sleeping in a warm and peaceful bed

Should be snoring
Should be snoozing
Should be resting
Should be dozing
Should be sleeping in a warm and peaceful bed

And I would sleep twenty-four hours
And I would sleep twenty-four more
Just to be the girl who wakes up with no under-eye bags any more

Hey Lucy, I found this pretty enjoyable but I felt it wasn't as good as your Tears For Fears parody due to a couple of pacing issues, but great job all the same. 444

Good idea, although pacing was off a little.
