The Lyrics

Michael Jackson: self-proclaimed King of Pop. Whether you love him or hate him, he was a tremendous talent and a uh, unique personality. Or to put it another way, extremely odd. He produced some great artistry and exhibited some questionable behavior. And despite all his fame and fortune, I believe he was a deeply troubled soul. But he'll always be the King of Pop. R.I.P. Michael.
King of Pop

There's a little black spot on the moon today
It's just not the same as yesterday
There’s a massive void in the world of pop
Now the thrill is gone and the news won’t stop

As an artist he climbed so quickly to the top
He began rhinoplasty and he could not stop
And the rest of his face he soon began to chop
It was his destiny to be the king of pop

There's a little black spot on the moon today
(That's his soul up there)
It's just not the same as yesterday
(Why’s his skin so fair?)
Though his music and dance they will never top
(Talent was so rare)
But the nagging doubts simply will not stop
(Bed he should not share)

He made lots of money but he loved to shop
Always buying odd things he watched his millions drop
He got hooked on the surg’ries and he could not stop
It was his destiny to be the king of pop

Sang some killer songs and filled the concert halls
(He performed with flair)
He hit the big time solo with his “Off the Wall”
(Still had curly hair)
Raised a blue suede fuss when the king's bride said
(“We shall be a pair”)
The former king’s daughter and the pop king wed
(She was Elvis’ heir)

He made lots of albums and his songs were tops
Always doing the moonwalk making eyeballs pop
We would watch his feet moving and our jaws would drop
It was his destiny to be the king of pop

There's a man on the floor with his heart torn out
There's a jury looking for a shadow of doubt
There's a rich man sleeping on a golden bed
There’s a skeleton swallowing a host of meds

King of pop

There's a public torn by conflicting views
(Seems like yesterday)
There’s a legion stunned by the tragic news
(He has gone away)
There's a little black spot on the moon today
It's just not the same as yesterday

He captured our fancy when he was on top
Still he kept getting odder and his fan base dropped
He proclaimed himself king and he could not be stopped
It was his destiny to be the king of pop

King of pop
King of pop
King of pop

He'll always be king of pop
He'll always be king of pop
He'll always be king of pop
He'll always be king of pop
He'll always be king of pop
(fade out)

RIP Michael Jackson! He may always be the king of pop, but we've probably turned into kings and queens of pain since his death! 5's for condolences and sentiment.
