The Lyrics

This may offend some people....I don't care. I am hurting and I am going to vent that in a public forum. It's a free country and there is no profanity, so I think I'm good here. God has shown Himself to be a loathsome MONSTER and I despise Him for His cruelty and heartlessness shown thru the pandemic, the wildfires, hurricanes and floods, Trump, and so on......AND for what He has done to me and our family. The last 10 days have been a living nightmare. We went from VA to NY and supposedly to NH coast for a vacation that was cancelled in July due to Covid-19 epidemic. We get to NY and get a phone call from S. Carolina.............my wife's mother has only days to live. The wife flies out of NY next day and I have to drive back to VA solo. Vacation CANCELLED! Since I have a long and lousy relationship with the %$#@&*^%$# in the Sky, I have no doubt He timed this tragedy, using my poor mother-in-law as a pawn to get at me. He's been doing stuff like this to me for decades. This parody is my way of exposing God for the monster that He is!!!
We see that summer is almost through
A trip up North is what we would do
Tried going away this Labor Day
That's seven days I learned that won't be happenin'

What God did to me, He should be ashamed!
And I think Jesus should be blamed
He threw us a bomb......and killed my wife's Mom
I should've known He had His timing set.

I can't forgive Him.....
I won't forget
Two months from now, I'll say I still haven't gotten over this yet

Stay-cation, that's not what I wanted
Vacation, God took it away
Stay-cation, meant to be spent at home
Stay-cation, that's not what I wanted
Vacation, God took it away
Stay-cation, had to be stuck at home

Ten days of hell that I won't forget
Two years from now, I'll say I still haven't gotten over this yet

Stay-cation, that's not what I wanted
Vacation, God took it away
Stay-cation, meant to be spent at home
Stay-cation, that's not what I wanted
Vacation, God took it away
Stay-cation, had to be stuck at home
I say that God is pretty rotten
For all this crap he did to me
Vacation, I was forced to go back home........

I've never liked the term "Funny" when rating parodies. Not every verse published here is intended to draw laughter. That's why I do not use the ratings 1-5 system. The numbers you see above are not mine. We have all gone through a lot these past few months, personally and as a nation. A friend of mine just lost his mother this morning, ostensibly to the virus. She had tested negative, then the hospital placed her in a room with someone who was already infected. Why does God allow/inflict suffering on people is the oldest question in theology. If Fred Phelps were still alive, he would attribute it to America's toleration of homosexuality, FAGS DOOM NATIONS reads the sign on the fence around the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka. I'm sure it's more complex than that. But, there is no denying that we have sinned as a nation. Abortion. Racism. Pollution. The hatred that has infected the political process. Greed. Arrogance. Envy. War. Maybe it's catching up with us now. If you are innocent of these things, maybe you are God's collateral damage. I can't offer comfort. I do hope you will find it.

"Waaahhh! Why is God actually punishing me for doing everything in my power to vex Him!?"

You know, what I find funny about this whole complaint is how the author somehow still manages to make it all about himself. When MY mother took four years to die from a rare form of cancer that very slowly and yet relentlessly ate its way through her spine, never once did I suspect God had made any of this happen just to get back at ME for my sins, notwithstanding that I've committed quite a few, and some rather terrible ones at that. Considering what a nightmare this author's astronomical ego has made out of what is arguably the relatively minor inconvenience of having to cancel a vacation, I'd say having to go on putting up with his own hate-filled loathsome existence for all eternity will be a sufficient Hell all by itself.

Loathsome Trumpies.

Like Trump's empathy, love of our country, truthfulness, defense of the Constitution, etc., I don't exist.

...will punish this so-called ‘author’ for writing this garbage.

Are you mourning for the loss of your mother in law or the changes to your vacation plans? Not quite clear. Thomas Jefferson once called the God of the Old Testament "The most unpleasant character in fiction". Which says what Jefferson thought of the Bible. If Jefferson was a Deist, as some historians say, he would have believed that God set the wheel in motion, then stood back and watched to see what we would do with His creation. If all the fires, floods, famines and viruses are the fault of human intervention (Donald Trump's malfeasance, specifically), then the Deist viewpoint is affirmed, and God had nothing to do with it. I don't believe in supernatural evil. People are fully capable of any atrocity one can imagine, and some most of us can't imagine. "The Devil made me do it" was a clever line for Flip Wilson. I have a saying I made up, "Planning is the first step to disappointment". The world has gone to Hell, and it's not coming back soon. But, I suspect New Hampshire will still be there when the Democrats decide to end the pandemic in thanks for electing Joe Biden.

Unlike Jeff's kindness, patriotism, honesty, lawfulness, and ability to love any human being other than himself, I actually exist.

Like a Biden voter who isn't a child-abusing murderous racist fascist goose-stepper pervert thug, terrorist, and traitor, I am a myth.
