The Lyrics

Look, more and more senior citizens are realizing what's happening in this country these days. They know that, under this administration, their days are numbered. Guess who a "Government Panel" voted to place at the end of the line when it comes to getting Swine Flu vaccinations? Yep, people over 65. The Congress just got a GAG ORDER to stop Health Insurance providers like Humana from advising seniors on how "Health Reform" will cut their Medicare benefits. They are basically censoring free speech! AARP is going along with the government and selling out the very members they are supposed to protect. Our elderly are not stupid. They know what's in store for them, and they're getting pretty riled up. Some of them, at least in this parody, are taking matters into their gnarled and wrinkled hands. Be careful where you walk at night, especially if you're on the Sunny-side of 40. You've been warned! ;-)

Pity Medicare is fading, funds low
Old folks farmed out by truckloads though some won’t go
Most pass easy, some won’t say ’bye
Those Grannies pal gonna make YOU die
They’re gunning for ya, got their own death panels,
all wearin’ frowns
Everybody’s running from these mobs of Killer Grannies
Out of Space!

The Death Czar screams, “You’ve lived a good life”
We’ll bring a gun if you bring a knife
Let us pull the plug; all good things must end
No more wrinkled faces, no frail bones to mend
It’s time to take that stroll in that long final walk of life
You’ll be sleeping soon, freed from death's clutches,
You old motley shrews!
We’re out of space!
Killer Grannies got no place!

They’ve cookies and milk in their hands
Don’t be suckered by their manners
As they creep across the land
Beware of their cunning guile
They’ve fallen off the edge, they’re loco!

Be on guard! They cometh for thee!
Tell YOUR Grannies we offer an insanity plea
And watch your back, elders come in sneaky pairs
Turn them all in please, if you dare
If you want to be sure that
There’s enough health care to go ‘round
Bring righteous thunder down on the heads of
Killer Grannies Out of Space

Killer Grannies Out of Space
Tryin' to reclaim their place
Killer Grannies Out of Space
Granny wants to make her case
Killer Grannies Out of Space
Arsenic and old lace … Grannies kill!
Killer Grannies Out of Space
Better break out the mace …

(Repeat and fade - Screaming!)
Got the message? It's not nice (or safe) to be mean to Granny!

you made a weird song even weirder

Morbid yet funny - wasn't Killer Clowns a movie too?
metaphorsbwithu - September 24, 2009 - Report this comment
Thanks Alvin. I'll take that as a compliment. :-D

Thanks, Timmy1000! Morbid, funny, and not a big stretch in these strange days. Yes, it was a very weird movie, a cult classic, about blood-drinking alien clowns that must be seen to be believed. :-)

"motley shrews" ... DKTOS, but 555 right there!

JOC, why are the parody titles repeated inside the parody, when they're already up there twice -- once at the top of the page, and again inside the box? Inquiring minds want to know ...

Thanks, Tommy. Oh, just one of many little trademarks and personal, signature touches I've ac-crue-d over my lifetime - some good and some not so good depending upon who's noticing or judging. :-)

ROFL at the image! (and at "motley shrews" and "ac-crue-d" in the comments!)

Thanks, Fiddlegirl. Glad you had a chuckle. And yes, variety is the spice of life, even when it comes to frenzied kill-crazy grannies.

Please don't ac-crue any of Tommy Lee's "crued" habits, like being "crue-l" and beating up women. The real Tommy Lee, that is.

You made a good point there, Forsby! This gets the message across: Don't mess with the old people, especially those Killer Grannies! Pretty soon, we'll probably get a "friendly" visit from the "Little Old Lady From Transylvania"! (Hey, this makes a great parody for Halloween!). They may also attack with their Depends! Another reminder: Always show some respect to your elders! 555!

Pamela - The thought would never enter my mind. ;-0

Thanks Christie! You have such a wit and clever imagination. I'll be looking forward to your own parodies should you ever decide to transfer your ideas to song. Depends? Oh, my! That's a detail to horrible to contemplate! Maybe they should do a remake of Plan 9 from Outer Space featuring blood-sucking grannies! Yipe! :-D
