The Lyrics

Possibly for Ages of Amiright Part 2, Round 2. Mike Bloomberg is mayor of NYC. OS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOA4ixV-3jU
Welcome to McD’s:
Home of the Big Mac.
For your luncheon needs,
Now you’ll find the
Cal’ries counted on the menu
At this once-escapist venue.
Everybody wants to lose some weight.

It’s Mike Bloomberg’s pride.
It’s Mike Bloomberg’s fault.
Help me to decide!
Should I buy the
Double burger? Chicken salad?
Lesser numbers seem more valid.
Everybody wants to lose some weight.

Came in here for a Big Mac dinner,
But the menu says thousand-cal’rie count!
If I eat that, I won’t get thinner.
So sad I’d look like jelly;
So mad they had to tell me!
Everybody wants to lose some weight.

(instrumental break)

I can’t stand this food decision:
Go for comfort, or for vision?
Everybody wants to lose some weight.

Don’t say I’ll never never never never lose it!
That Big Mac, I can’t choose it.
Everybody wants to lose some weight.

On the lips, a moment’s pleasure;
On the hips, it lasts forever!
Everybody wants to lose some weight.
Actually, the Big Mac itself is 560 calories, but with medium fries and Coke, it'll break 1,000. http://calorielab.com/restaurants/mcdonalds/1

Nice cruise in the fast lane with fast food humor

Our parents are always telling us to watch what we eat because not only do we have to watch our weight, we have to watch our health as well. Since my dad's chest pain, he's been cooking us balanced meals that are healthy. Also fast food is my weakness, like Mickey D's. My friend recently lost weight in 6 months, went from 250 to 210 but he has 40 more to go. Anyways, great job on this parody, Mel! 5's all the way!

Good song - 555 - good timing for all of us who, of course, ate way too much over the holidays (but not fast food).

Great parody, and although my doctor told me that I probably won't live to see my 50th birthday thanks to being overweight, having a sedentary lifestyle, being a Junk Food Junkie and having family histories of diabetes and heart disease, I DON'T want to lose weight. 5s.

(Ages) Well done, Melanie, but I don't understand what Mike Bloomberg has to do with it.

Good OS choice. One of my favorite 80's songs. I too am lost with the Mike Bloomberg reference (not knowing who he is), but the rest of it was spot on perfect!

(Ages) Where to begin, wow Melanie, this was really--and I mean really good. I don't even have a nitpick to give you, this was a great parody, loved "so mad they had to tell me", so many things I've had to stop eating once I saw the horrifying calorie counts, Easy 5s, should be in my top 5 no questions asked, GREAT job.

AGES...I have to echo the fanfare for the

On the lips, a moment’s pleasure;
On the hips, it lasts forever!

bit...nice work on this one, Melanie!

First...I agree with BAD...I like "straight ahead" parodies that start with a good title switch and then carry the idea along to a great ending.
I triple the praise for

On the lips, a moment’s pleasure; On the hips, it lasts forever!

Great line...great job (didn't the mayor reference though)

(Ages) Great title switch, and great job working the NY thing with Bloomberg into the song. I enjoyed this one.

Well, if food doesn't satisfy you to lose weight by food - maybe exercise will suit you! I'm playing soccer and my mom says I have a certainty of losing weight.
