The Lyrics

And you may find yourself living in The King of Queens
And you may find yourself in Everybody Loves Raymond
And you may find yourself behind the scenes of the show Drew Carey
And you may find yourself in that Will & Grace,or maybe Queer Eye
And you may ask yourself...well...how did I get here?

Letting the days go by,let the sitcoms hold me down
Letting the days go by,sitcoms flowing underground
Into the tube again, after the drama's gone
Once in a primetime, sitcoms flowing underground

And you may ask yourself
Why do I need this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large tv guide?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful show!
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful cast!

Letting the days go by,let the sitcoms hold me down
Letting the days go by,sitcoms flowing underground
Into the tube again, after the drama's gone
Once in a primetime, sitcoms flowing underground

Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...

Drama dissolving...and drama removing
There is drama at the bottom of a sitcom
Carry the drama at the bottom of a sitcom
Remove the drama at the bottom of a sitcom!

Letting the days go by,let the sitcoms hold me down
Letting the days go by,sitcoms flowing underground
Into the tube again, forget all the drama
Under the sticks and stonesmthere are sitcoms underground

Letting the days go by,let the sitcoms hold me down
Letting the days go by,sitcoms flowing underground
Into the tube again, after the drama's gone
Once in a primetime, sitcoms flowing underground

And you may ask yourself
What is that pitiful show?
And you may ask yourself
How does that sitcom go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right?...Am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
Oh god! What I have done?

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...

I liked this a lot TSB, I wish you took the effort to change the last chorus.544

I definitely like this parody. I wish I would have written this one. On this website, I will be performing this parody and I will put it on my next album(NOT!). Well, I'm sorry to bring your hopes down but I will give you an autograph whenever you meet me.

I agree with Agrimorfee here, TSB. It's a fun parody, but I would have liked it better if, in the final chorus, you stuck with "sitcoms" instead of "water" and instead of "Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was" you had something like "Lame as it ever was...Lame as it ever was", which would have worked because you're making fun of lame sitcoms. But I guess "Same" works too, since all sitcoms are pretty much the same...as well as lame!
