"A gaffe is when a politician accidentally tells the truth." -- Michael Kinsley. In America, this guy is an extremist wacko. In the Republican Party, this guy is in the mainstream. Mitt Romney, the leader of his party, needs to announce that views like this are unacceptable and that he needs to drop out of the race. But Romney won't do it, because he's a coward.

Akin is Republican mainstream, Michael? Is that why he was forced to withdraw from his campaign within 24 hours of saying this? Is that why the Republicans just gave away the Senate seat from Missouri and possible control of the Senate? Is that why he was instantly condemned by every Republican and every blogger and commentator in the right wing blogosphere? Because his views are just so mainstream. I challenge you to find any post anywhere in the right wing blogosphere that didn't condemn Akin in the strongest possible terms
Republicans put principle ahead of power. At least until they are accidentally elected. Then their only policy is compromise.

Re-post the comment with "just the facts", the true examples you gave, and leave out the insults (of which Michael Pacholek has himself been guilty on many occasions, but that''s not the point -- take the moral high ground). Then that comment should stand, regardless of what is decided on the one above.
