The Lyrics

When the going gets hot....
There's a fireman.in your neighbourhood
Muscular and tall
Hosethruster!
With his trusty lengthhe can do much good
And his name is Paul
Hosethruster!

Don't be 'fraid of his hose!
Don't be 'fraid of his hose!

All the damsels swoonat his big, redtruck
Answering the call
Hosethruster!
When he's out on a job.ladies yell, "Good f..luck!
Douse that shopping mall
Hosethruster!"

Don't be late with your hose!
Don't be late with your hose!

Leapin' over wallHosethruster!
Pussy up a tree? He'll come quickly
He's all
Hosethruster!

Lonely maids need his hose
They're watching him unfurl
Lonely maids need his hose
Yeah yeah yeah yeah!

In this urban sprawlHosethruster!
Be grateful he knowshow to use his hose
Havin' a ball
Hosethruster!

[Paul, with his fire axe]
Plus I'm good at choppin'
Lusty ladies need wood!

Don't get sprayed with his hose!
Don't get sprayed with his hose!

A fire down below? Oh no.
Hosethruster!
With his helmet, so hard
Always goin' that extra yard
And no job is too small
Hosethruster!

Who ya gonna call?
Hosethruster!
Ow!

Great title switch...Love the D. E. here...keep a tight grip on that hose..
Arwen - August 21, 2006 - Report this comment
Oh his name is PAUL! Thanks a million! I'm a more than a little bit embarrassed that, given all the time we've spent together, I never did catch that detail from him. ; ) Nice job, KR!

Cat - August 21, 2006 - Report this comment
Brilliant!!! I wish I could have come up with the line "Good f...luck." And it's funny that I read Arwen's comment, since as I was reading this I was thinking that he sounds like Arwen's kinda guy. I'll hold out for the window-washers, though...

Heh heh, you pulled this one off quite well, Kristof! Very FUNNY. And that BMLP stands for Bring Money, Lot's Please! J/K. Good luck with that project. :-)

I suspected from the title is wasn't going to be about some suburbanite watering his lawn...hee hee.

Very funny and nice "mating" to the OS... I always thought it had a bit of the burlesque about it. My favorite line.. "No job too small!" Ha!
DD - August 21, 2006 - Report this comment
Since we are now into the time of the year when dry bushes are igniting all over, there is no rest for the poor, overworked hosethruster. Well done, Kristof.
Red Ant - August 22, 2006 - Report this comment
Excellent Kristof, and a vast improvement over a wholly annoying OS. 555. Reminds me of a line from South Park: "The fireman is a magical creature; if you rub his helmet, he will spit in your eye."
Stuart McArthur - August 22, 2006 - Report this comment
so that's what Keating's been doing since Johnny Howard knocked him off - providing wood for the lusty ladies - this would make a good video, Kristof - 555
