The Lyrics
This song is NOT a putdown of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. This is rather a love song, a toast to a new relationship, and this song is rather fitting to parody with this thought, since some of Prince's music of this period was concerned about nuclear annhiliation. Dosvedonya!

Well, that was unexpected. Good fit to the original tune, and I got a chuckle out of the "Turn on the Glasnost, and pour me a glass!" line.
Well researched, historical parodies have a soft spot with me. I hoist a glass of Stolichnaya to you.
Woosh! This one went right over my head... I'm giving you 5's purely for research and idea, and the fact that I actually like this song... But this went way over my head.
