"Blade Runner"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Lo fa, ne-ko
Shi-ma de va-ja Blade Runner*

Talkin' bout some sushi
What my ex-wife says I am
Talkin' bout a real cold fish, that's me
Killin' androids on the lam

Only please don't call me
I don't do that anymore

Let me have the big noodles
Four shrimp on the side, not just two or three
Tell me why this city cop's, tappin'
Would you please translate for me

"He say you Brade...Brade Runnah"
Well, this is all I need
Please don't call me a Blade Runner
I gave up that occupation

Huntin' down some skinjobs
Cause my ex-boss won't let me be
Crazy killer nutjobs
Why the hell has it gotta be me

Don't wanna be a Blade Runner
I don't know where to start
Don't wanna be a Blade Runner
Cause I've grown a heart
I've gotta be, the Blade Runner
Tired of replicant retiring
I'm a Blade Runner
Find the prospect uninspiring

Blade Blade Blade Runner

[SOLO]

Pick up the blade

I've murdered Zhora (murdered Zhora, murdered Zhora)
Leon's dead (Leon's dead)
Then I met Rachael (then I met Rachael)
And I lost my head, yeah I lost my head

Oh, now I'm shootin' Pris (shootin' Pris)
I just gave her two (gave her two)
Me, shootin' Pris (shootin' Pris)
Now she's turnin' blue
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Now here comes Roy (here comes Roy) scary Roy
And he's Batty, too (scary Roy)
Superhuman power
Souped, souped up manpower (Batty Roy)

He's been beatin' me dizzy
He's been beatin' me dizzy (dizzy boy)
But he doesn't kill me, yeah, lets me go (attaboy)

I'm a, I'm a replicant
I'm a, I'm a replicant (just like you)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you (just like you)

Me and Rachael are runnin'
Me and Rachael are runnin' (run with you)
We're both blade runnin', runnin'
Run till we're through

* Cityspeak for: "Horse dick! So you say. You are the Blade...Blade Runner."

Am a Sci-Fi fan but hate all versions of BR- sorry! But your song is good, so 555!!! Am writing Sci-Fi right now myself...

Thanks! BR is one of my faves, but it's not for everybody. Too bad Phil K. Dick never got to see it, but he did see some preliminary effects footage and was very impressed by the way they captured his vision.

IIRC, "The Thing" came out the same year, same day!!! If you like "The Thing", the new version is done really well with many twists on the original set-up and an excellent ending!!! Too bad it dropped at the box-office. The "Footloose" remake is also excellent and enhanced from the '80s version, but no one can replace Lori Singer. The new actress played the role like a Miley Cyrus clone!!!

I caught "The Thing" first run at the theater but didn't see "Blade Runner" until it came out on VHS (International version). Interested in seeing the new "Thing." My niece dragged me to see "Footloose" when it came out but I wasn't too thrilled about it!
