The Lyrics

In 2003, the Chicago Cubs almost made it to thw world series by blowing a foul ball off to left field and was caught by Steve Bartman who would become a shame to the sports world. The Marlins would defeat the Cubs to go on to another world series title. Here is the account of what happened.
In the NLCS
Where Game 5 began
I can see it with my eyes
but don't deny
A foul ball was caught by a fan
When the Marlins won, I almost cried

If it is the Cubs
Why did they play so bad?
Why did they lose one to mind?
If it is the Cubs
Why did they play so bad?
Did the fans felt sad inside
If it is the Cubs?

I told the fans the Marlins won (rap)
Next year, they'll play better

How did it feel
I can't describe this feelin'
That it would've been an out last night
Why Jack McKeon
He won a world series ring
3 more wins sent D. Baker goodbye

Next year, they will come back
Knock this goat cursing
Correct the big mistake
Won't you forgive that curse
They've won 90+ years before
I really love the Marlins
You love the Marlins, What?

It took the Cubs
1 more win to win this pennant
Steve Bartman dropped the team's pride
Losing it all gave them a front page image
Next Year, they want to tell the fans that...

(chorus 2x)
Red Sox & Cubs in the 2004 World Series, baby!

Red Sox and Cubs? You're probably half-right. Take a wild guess as to which half.
