The Lyrics

This is my ‘tribute’ to all the AWPs who claim that people like me “aren’t autistic enough” to speak to our shared experiences with others in the Autistic community because we’re “not like [their] children.”
The more you talk about ‘barriers’
The faster I break them down
And when you Walk for Autism $peaks
My people will call you out
You can deny me
You can pretend that I was never born

No matter ’cos there’s something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
For, about me, you’re wrong, so wrong
You thought you could make me gone, oh no
There’s something inside so strong, oooh-oh-woah
Something inside so strong

The more you refuse to hear my voice
The more words I will type (There’s something inside)
We can do way more than you believe
Even conference on Skype (Something inside)
Deny my existence, you’re full of petulance
The truth will hit you so hard it will blind you

Because there’s something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
For, about me, you’re wrong, so wrong
You thought you could make me gone, oh no
There’s something inside so strong, oooh-oh-woah
Something inside so strong

Brothers and sisters, when they insist we’re nothing like their kids (Nothing like their kids)
When we know better (Better), stare ’em in the face and say
“We’re all autistic anyway”
“We’re all autistic anyway”
“We’re all autistic anyway”
“We’re all autistic anyway”

Because there’s… Because there’s something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
For, about me, you’re wrong, so wrong
You thought you could make me gone, oh no
There’s something inside so strong, oooh-oh-woah
Something inside so strong, aaaah-aaaah-aaaah
Something inside so strong
So strong, so strong

I don't know the original song, but I totally dig your story here. I have an aspie/ADHD/SPD 12 year old. I am gonna share this at least one Facebook autism discussion group, as your outro suggested. (There are many creators on the spectrum here, too). Cheers.
