Song Parodies -> More Noise Pollution
| Original Song Title: | "You Got Another Thing Coming" |
| Original Performer: | Judas Priest |
| Parody Song Title: | "More Noise Pollution" |
| Parody Written by: | Agrimorfee |
One day I'm gonna move on up
Live in the deep city it makes things kinda tough
Wonder why I feel so cowed
Noise don't stop, so annoying and so loud
Sit alone in your house as traffic blows by
They're turnin' up the bass makin' the sleepin' babies cry
Spent all their fortune on stereos so rad
You'll hear it night and day, how sad
You'll hear another car thumpin'!
Your right ear gets the twists and bends
Conversely, all right, the same is on your left
Drive loud, all squealin' through the lots
Those lousy bastards, tie my head in knots
Normally I get around on the elevated train
But when I get home and I need to unwind from my day
The sounds from the station echo towards my pad
El trains of Chicago, so bad
I hear another train comin'!
In this flat I'm livin' in, noise pokes me to the marrow
A new town I should move in--Aurora, maybe Plano?
There's no, no way I can get good rest yeah
Whether I'm north, south, east or west
Now dogs barking incessantly
And then there's a crash, oh please no, not a burglary...aughhh!
So that's what's been goin' on, the world flies by
My window open, cool, but my nerves are getting fried
Some day better fortune will get me less mad
Move out of Chicago, yeah DAD!
I got a lot of sleep comin'!
I got a lot of sleep comin'!
Slumber for me!!
Live in the deep city it makes things kinda tough
Wonder why I feel so cowed
Noise don't stop, so annoying and so loud
Sit alone in your house as traffic blows by

Wishing for a life of quiet desperation.
Actually, I go to Aurora once or twice a year. It's a gigantic grid of malls and housing developments. I don't know how they did this, but every location is exactly 20 minutes away from every other location.

$555 for earmuffs. LOL!!!!!!
You won't escape it no matter where you move...Speaking from experience, I'd say you should rule out Joliet...555 decibels of white noise for you!
I don't live in Chicago, but I feel the sentiment of this parody since I live in a neighborhood that could be called a ghetto without a stretch of the imagination, my neighbors are very noisy, a plywood mill is well within walking distance, and the interstate and railroad tracks are nearby. Here is $555 toward soundproofing your house. My security code was 2CV (as in Citroen), which is one of the noisiest cars (inside and out) ever made.
Is that "Aurora" Ohio, because I live pretty close to there. This was a pretty good song to one of Judas Priest's best songs! (Security Code: 3NZ any relation to 2nz?)
You don't live in Chicago? I thought you did, anyway, I still haven't decided on what to do about Judas Priest, whether to write or not-I've been in a parody writing funk since Friday . . . not that anyone would be surprised I'm sure, Anyway, topic is not often covered, well done--by the title alone I wasn't sure this would work, but it did. 555
I know this is kind of off the topic, but Below Average Dave, why did you think I live in Chicago?
i can SO relate to this
(Artistry) A topic any city dweller can relate to. Good work.
(Artistry) I love the delicious irony of a parody of a metal song complaining about loud noises. Love it! 555!
Ditto what tcop wrote. This was really good, Aggy, with a really relateable topic.
very good job Agri, a fun idea put to a song that was very noisy without really making sense, your parody could be sang to the OS and I don't think anyone would notice the lyrics are different, great job.;
Nice take on a JP classic. I can relate, though I don't live in the city anymore, I can't stand noise! Looking forward to reading more of your stuff, like your variety of song choices.
