The Lyrics

This is a new version with a completely new and better ending, a better title and my favorite english word "gazillions" used six times. The Sven in question is Sven-Göran Eriksson, current manager of the English National Team and infamous for not being able to keep his pants on when near greedy women. :-)
Look at Sven
He´s movin´ in
With his men
The game begins
Will they do it?
Will they do it?
And if they don´t and if they loose or if they don´t even score
Then they can´t get out the door

Better keep on scoring, never stop!

United! United! United with Sven
United like white, blue and red
United! United! United with Sven
United like winning and cred

So get it up!
Get it in!
Make a pass!
And let it spinn!
Becks can screw it!
He can screw it!
But if he pass or hit the wood or if he don´t always score
Then they can´t get out the door

Better keep on scoring, never stop!

United! United! United with Sven
United like Britain and Queen
United! United! United with Sven
United like actress and scene

So-cup a fiel-d!

United! United! United with Sven
United like England and pounds
United! United! United with Sven
United like publife and rounds

United! United! United with Sven
United like Big Bang and Ben
United! United! United with Sven
United like Barbie and Ken

United! United! United with Sven
United with Sven as their head
United! United! United with Sven
United like loos girls and bed

Gazillions, gazillions, gazillions of pounds
Fem players are getting the win
Gazillions, gazillions, gazillions of pounds
Replaying the field where they been!
© Peter Andersson. Go Sven-Göran Eriksson and England! Silver in the next World Cup awaits (Sweden will of course take the Gold) :-)

Don't know crap about soccer but since I actually do remember this song (esp the chorus) I'll say that you have accomplished the anthem-type feeling you were going for. Plus it's funny to imagine Rob Halford singing lines like "he's movin' in with his men" and "Get it up! Get it in!"

Claude Prez: You´re totally right, the chorus to this original is extremely catchy. In 7th or 8th grade there was a student walk out at my school and I can still remember how the student council put "United" on repeated play over the loudspeaker system and got everyone to sing along! As for your comment about Robert Halford you might get a similar or even bigger funny feeling from my version of "Living after midnight" from the same album (British Steel).

Is he referring to the England team or Sven-Goran Eriksson's latest fling when he says 'better keep on scoring'?

Pickle: Yes! ;-)
And don´t forget Becks, he´s one helluva fieldplayer too.
