The Lyrics

Listen to this

All good models store to store
Easy to fret anywhere
Went to ask my parents for some dough
Couldn't get a dime
Said it's a waste of time

Still there's no famous riff
Too hard
And somewhere on the way, you will find out who you are

Learning how to play guitar
Listening to "Station to Station"
Learning how to play guitar
So easy, Californication
Learning how to play guitar
I don't need no education

It's my goal

Whammy, steel strings
Good god, hear how it sings
Hear the radio
See if there's any riffs left to know
All night playing, keeps Dad awake
As soon as I can, I'll drop out of school

You can even play left hand now
Better form a band now
And I'm sick of these objections anyhow

Learning how to play guitar
Gonna go to every location
Learning how to play guitar
Might be nice to have an Asian
Learning how to play guitar
Bollocks to my education

I learn how to play guitar
Hendrix, the best ever
I learn how to play guitar

Wait a minute
You may not be looking for the right type
But you'll find it anyway
So just settle down, let me give advice
There's Flying V (Flying V!)
Rickenbacker (Rickenbacker!)
Jaguar (Jaguar!)
Fender Mustang (Fender Mustang!)
Stratocaster (Stratocaster!)
Telecaster (Telecaster!)
Explorer (Explorer!)
SG, and Les Paul!

Learning how to play guitar
Listening to "Station to Station"
Learning how to play guitar
So easy, Californication
Learning how to play guitar
It sounds good!

Is it just a coincidence that this is up the same day I get my new high E string? I loved the clever lyrics, especially your Pink Floyd reference. And I don't mean to start an "eruption", but you could have tapped into some Van Halen references, too, as he pretty much reinvented the guitar... and rock and roll itself. Speaking of Asians, I've always wondered, is Jimmy Page of Asian descent in any way, shape, or form. I mean, he looks like it... does anybody know? 555

James Brown played this one at the concert I went to a couple years ago. And I saw this guy on tv last night advertising this guitar, and he was hilarious! He made up dumb lyrics while playing it, played the harmonica and the guitar at the same time, made funny jokes, and played the guitar with an mp3 player! Anyway, no stairway! 5's

Hmm, Asians...well, there's James Iha of the Smashing Pumpkins and Quan Yeomans of Regurgitator (I think he's of Asian descent).
