N.J., N.J., its what they call the garden state
but their tolls are the highest I've seen seen
Spent more on tolls than I did on gasoline
They took all my cash from me
If you have to use it, damned to drive straight through it
They charge more if you're on there awhile
I'll avoid that crazy NJ system
It really really hurt awhile

They say that New York bridge's toll is a beating
And from my drive through, I vouch for em
Now then Delaware's high tolls aren't teasing
But the Turnpike's crazy tolls
Turnpike's crazy tolls got me seething

PA, Maryland, and West Virgina's roads
Have tolls that are a site to see
Tampa's bites and so do East Virginia's
but they're avoided easily

When you pay your taxes
Them sky high taxes
You'd think it'd be a travel pass
But it's not enough to take our income
The tolls will bite us in our big fat

You say Chicago's downtown tolls are demeaning
And I've been through there, yes I've seen 'em
Now Indiana may be worth a tweeting
But the Turnpike's crazy tolls,
Turnpike's crazy tolls are un-heeding

Tell ya, NJ, is the worst state of them all-this I can promise you
Man I hope they stop this, can't afford this trip, The roads have been paid awhile
