A power outage makes me furious man
You can't watch TV, You can't even cook flan
Room is dark and you'll crash into stuff
Sure ain't appealing when the power is snuffed

Pull out the candles make them gleam
Blackouts and darkness makes it so hard to see
Grab a torch of wood, Need to get some light
Power outage you really freakin' bite!

It's caused by lightning, Lots of rain
When the wind's blowing hard, It's a hurricane
It's gone without warning and it screws your night
Time to try the Amish life

Hate when it happens I get pretty bored
Power is absent those are useless cords
While I adore music, There's no sound
Cause my speakers need power to pound

Cause poles are breaking when cars crashed
That stinkin' circuit board's tossed in the trash
If streets there are flooded you can kiss lights goodbye
This is everybody's strife

You might be falling down the stairs
Or bump into chairs

It's making you feel so hot and cross

When things aren't running, It's such a pain
Cell phone cannot be charged, Power is drained
Whip out your flashlight or some flint and steel
You'll spill into somethin' then you'll squeal
