The Lyrics

another "Final Countdown" parody! this time, a request of Samuel's! or rather, his wife's! apparently, she likes Pepsi, but he likes Coke! with all due respect, ma'am, I gotta agree with your hubby on this! as a former Pepsi-fanatic, I have been sorely disappointed in their decision to pull the aspartame free blend of Diet Pepsi off of the store shelves (you have to order it online, now.) plus, Coca-Cola still makes 3 liters (more soda = win!) so, there's that. anyway, everybody please enjoy! and whatever your soda preference, drink up!
OS (once again, my fav song! dig that guitar solo! it's something special!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNiTxUEnmKI
we’re drinking together
‘cause we might as well
to know which is better
yes, soon we can tell
Diet Pepsi’s got aspartame
they brought it back (brought it back)
I may never touch that stuff again

It’s The Soda Showdown
The Soda Showdown

Oh

just pour some over ice (on ice)
in a glass that’s tall
this is how we’ll decide (decide)
this once and for all, yeah
with no miller light beers at home
but still wanting cans (ice cold cans)
we’ll just compare Pepsi to Coke

It’s The Soda Showdown
The Soda Showdown
The Soda Showdown (Soda Showdown)
Oh, Oh-Ooohhhh!

(totally rad guitar solo! sweet as cola...)

The Soda Showdown , Oh
It’s The Soda Showdown
The Soda Showdown
The Soda Showdown (Soda Showdown)
Oh
It’s The Soda Showdown
We’re Drinking Together
The Soda Showdown
Pepsi Versus Coke!
It’s The Soda Showdown (Soda Showdown)
Oh
It’s The Soda Showdown (fade out, much like the chances of me buying this “Classic Diet Pepsi Taste” crap.)
thanks for reading!

There are so many soda choices now, but Coke and Pepsi still dominate! I like both, but Diet Coke and Coke No Sugar rule! 555 sips!

Rob - lately I've taken to buying the Splenda version of Diet Coke. being since, unlike Pepsi, they actually still give that, as an option! Coca Cola Life (the one with Stevia) is also pretty good!
Jeff - cheers, mate!

Out here in northern California, Coca-Cola Life is sold at Target only. I don't know why, but Walmart doesn't carry it yet... btw, have you tried the Coke Diet multi-flavors yet? They're in smaller cylindrical cans like Pepsi 1883. Out here there are horizontal tray racks running below the 2 liter bottles or in front by the registers in the mini-fridges.

multi-flavors like the blood orange and all? not yet. do they make those in the Splenda variety? if so, I may have to give it a whirl...

I'm not sure Jon, but avoid the Fiesty Cherry. It leaves a nasty taste in your throat. Twisted Mango ,OTOH, tastes decent enough. Fruity.

My wife got the ginger lime one for on the way home. I took one taste and threw it right out the window. If they tested these flavors before going to market it must have been administered them to the test subjects as an enema.

^ thanks for the warning! I think I'll just stick to plain ol' cola for now...

Don't know if you're into beer or not Jon, but my brother told me that a place called Trader Todd's in Chicago sells Ogre Beer based on Donald Gibb as Ogre from " Revenge of the Nerds" series! There's no listing on the site, so I'll have to call them to see if it's in stock and can they mail it out!

^ nah man, as of yet I have not touched alcohol. diet soda and as of late, sparkling water are more appealing to me. thanks for the heads up, anyway! on an unrelated note, amiright seems to be running smoother for me this week, than it has been in a while! I'm testing the waters right now and if this keeps up, I'll be back to posting, starting with yours and Onslaught's suggestions for more "Final Countdown" parodies, as well as your "Maneater" parody suggestion. thank you for your patience! :)

Speaking of sodas Jon, Coca-Cola has announced some regional new ones: Georgia Peach flavor and California Raspberry in 12 oz bottles. Look for them in grocery stores, bars, and restaurants.

^ you know, I think I might've seen those at Walmart. I might pick some up, one of these times. thanks for the heads up! :)
