The Lyrics

this was written after recent events
i wanna spray my name
across a wall
sadly i cannot spell
didn’t go skool
but i have strength and rage
so ill use that
its time to show the world
that im a twat

i wanna tip up bins
and wear a mask
i wanna throw some wood
then flash my arse
ill pick up anything
to throw at you
i am a waste of space
and that’s the truth

but baby
you just bbm me
i cannot stay here though
my stupid mate set fire to a car
ill bring you
brand new reebok classics
copters are above me
my hood is up im running through the park
when im smashing things in hackney

i wanna 50 inch
plasma tv
i wanna smash in doors
to jjb
ive never had a job
that takes the piss
but i wont get one now
not after this

so sue me
parents cant control me
i deserve an asbo
youll feel unsafe
no matter where you are
ill sell you
stolen pairs of levis
blood stain on the ankle
or maybe some new hush puppies from clarks
when im looting shops in hackney

rioting is hard work
cannot last much longer
all i need is red bull to make me stronger

hey pc
everytime you nick me
i become a hero
to all the chavs
no matter where they are
there’ll still be
burning nissan micra’s
and families without houses
im whinning like a baby in the dark
when i get tear gassed in hackney

in hackney
when we all get nicked in hackney

Are you from UK? I like the use of illiterate spellings. It captures the atmosphere of chaos and the mentality of people barely able to think. Am I correct in that an ASBO is a written notice from the police to please quit beating the s... out of someone, or stop robbing that store, or we'll call you even harsher names the next time?

Patrick - an ASBO is an Anti-Social Behaviour Order. When you get issued with one it usually involves curfews, an ankle tag for your monitoring, staying away from certain areas (shops, streets, city centres, etc) & staying away from certain people (other idiots who enjoy doing the things that got you the ASBO in the first place).

Over here we have Restraining Orders. These are usually issued against former spouses or companions, occasionally against obsessed fans who stalk celebrities, ordering the subject to stay a certain distance away from the person. These are not worth the paper they are printed on. There is also something called a consent decree, in which a company agrees to stop doing something that isn't precisely illegal, but that the government wants it to stop doing, even though other companies may continue to engage in the same commerce. It's a bit weird, and I can't go into the details, but it does happen. I wonder if such things exist in UK legal system.

We have Restraining Orders as well for the same reasons. They are taken out by an individual, to stop another individual from going within a certain distance of them. The ASBO is taken out by the authorities against persistent trouble-makers. I've never heard of anything like that consent decree. That just sounds mad - if it's not illegal, then no one should have the right to tell you to stop doing it.
