Song Parodies -> "You Played Sax So Fine"

Original Song Title:

"You're A Friend Of Mine"

Parody Song Title:

"You Played Sax So Fine"

Parody Written by:

Mark Scotti

The Lyrics

This is only a partial song, but I had to get it out in honor of our beloved "Big Man":
Sax rings out,
We miss our friend

We'll always pray that out Big Man is in Heaven

Health ran out,
Heaven’s win

Sax fills the clouds with E Street sounds over again

Please, play Jungleland for me,
Over and over... over and over

Miss, those sax notes so sweet
Clarence had always made the show rise to the sky
We will miss you every time we hear your notes arise

Big Man left our show
Memories won't go

All your life
You played sax so fine....

Beautiful tribute. I saw Bruce and the E Streeters live in late 1999 and they were brilliant! CC really was a Big Man, he was 6 feet-plus tall and he could really toot that horn. He was a one-of-a-kind saxophonist. Grover Washington, Jr. was amazing too. At least we still have Andy Mackay of Roxy Music and Kenny G is still around. Kudos!
