Just googled this news story after reading your parody. Read about the 38 people arrested this summer. Didn't realize before the horrible human trafficking going on in Romania.
Human trafficking goes on around the world. Where poverty reigns it is almost normal in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. Countries like Cuba and Thailand are also notorious for sex tourism. Forget just organized crime. In many nations a married man will prostitute his wife and daughters out for hard currency. Like piracy, this practice should be eliminated in the twenty-first century, but sadly isn't.
