My children and I used to joke about Canadian geese, which flew--and still fly--near our homes in the Midwest. We'd say that if one of them was from Quebec, it would say "Le Honk!" but "Honk, eh?:" if from anywhere else. Okay, kind of a nod to Pepe' LePew even thought THAT character was from France (n'est ce pas?)!
No, really. Moose bites can be very nasti.
Some of the syndicated channels around here carry old Canadian cop shows, such as Police Surgeon, Murdock Mysteries, DaVinci's Inquest and Flashpoint. I've noticed most try to hide their Canadian origins, and limit references to Canadian geography or institutions. I'll listen to the next flock of geese that passes over. But I don't think they're coming from Canada any more. Since the Corps of Engineers built some reservoirs north of Kansas City back in the 1960's the geese stopped migrating and stick around all year long.
