The Lyrics

I can't stand these bands. Everyone worships them but me.
What's the matter with the state of music?
Everyone just sounds the same
I think it started when Kobain took a pistol
And he painted the wall with his brains

A drugged-up moron; Now he's been martyred
A crappy grunge rock trend later started
Everybody's talkin' bout the bands they like, I wanna shout
"They all sound the same to me!"

Why does everybody I know tell me
That they really like the group Pearl Jam?
Tried to listen to "Ten" and "Versus"
Now I'd rather eat rancid ham

These grunge rock guys look coked-up and oafish
I once thought Creed was Hootie and the Blowfish
I can't stand Eddie Vedder; Nickelback's not any better
Ya'll sound the same to me

(Insert Groovy Sax Lick)

Ohhhhhhhhhh
What's the point of having deep, dark lyrics
When we can't understand what you said?
It isn't thoughtful, it's just plain confusing
All the beer and pot have gone to your head

All the singers sound the same as Chad Kroeger
Their voices are, at best, mediocre
I looked for talent, they're devoid; I feel the same way 'bout Pink Floyd
They all sound the same to me

Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Stain'd
Puddle of Mudd and Alice in Chains
They all sound the same to me

(Bum Bum Bwaaaaa)

um...did you just make fun of Pink Floyd? Thats not cool man...plus, Nirvana and Pearl Jam dont sound the same, and Hootie sounds nothing like Creed.......Now Creed is a rip off of Pearl Jam, Ill give you that....and Staind is kinda too...but what am I saying, I like all these bands...this song would have been truer if it was about BSB and Nsync and otown and the sorts...or even NFG, and Good CHarlotte, and Blink and the sorts

I agree completely, with one exception: As Noel Coward put it, if Cobain blew his brains out, he must've been a really good shot. He was Jim Morrison without charm. As Morrison himself would say about fans of these bands, "You're all a bunch o' f---in' slaves!" Hey, "F---in' Slaves," not a bad name for a band. But you'd never get it on TV. Except maybe HBO. Paging A.J. Soprano...

Radiohead have NOTHING to do with Grunge. At ALL.

"Oafish" and "blowfish" is a great rhyme. Nice work, overall.
