Background info: In the 70's and early 80's nearly all the WWE (then WWWF and WWF) tv shows throughout the Northeast were taped in the same arena in Allentown, PA.
Well pro wrestling’s here in Allentown
And they're closing all the microphones down
Now the local show was doing fine
Cable TV
Changing their minds.
Well our fathers liked the golden age more
Every weekend saw the show for sure
Met the wrestlers after in-house shows
Asked them to pose
Kodak photos
And pro wrestling’s still in Allentown.
But the wrestling biz’ was handed down
And Vince Jr’s got no plan to stay ay…
Well we're waiting here in Allentown
For the Wrestlemania we never found
For the evil men against our faves
Yeah they break rules
And misbehave.
Did a wrestler get hurt bad in a brawl?
Or they knew just how to take a big fall?
No they never told us what was real

Animal Steele.

But they've taken all the ring and ropes down
