The Lyrics

While I have never used Twitter, it is all over the place. In the news, on my friend's facebook page, at work, on the radio. Why do radio talk show hosts have to twitter while they are talking on the radio?!? Huh? Anyways, with the craze comes this song.
All I really want are tweets
And in the morning it’s tweets
Cause in the evening it’s tweets

I like the way my friends talk
Easy way for me to stalk
And I find out when they leave
And rob them ‘cause they’re naive

Back in the day
Talking to Shaq there was no way
Following Ashton was foul play
I had no friends from Bombay
I sent a tweet saying ‘Hey”
Got my response without delay
I spend my days tweeting away
Addicted now, ego buffet

I hope one’ll say,
“Introducing fish fillet”
Or a coupon for the buffet
Maybe a Dell T.V. giveaway
Here’s what my friend convey
They had a great cheese tray
One friend really likes crochet
What happened to Hal McCray?
I need to check up on Cold Play

Tweets – on my vacation
Tweets – talk about breakfast
Tweets – instead of cleaning
Tweets – now on my cell phone
Tweets, that’s all I really want is tweets
Two at a time I want tweets
In my email and RS – tweets
It’s time to whip out my tweets, tweets, tweets, tweets, tweets!
Enjoy. No rights reserved or implied. Here's the recording of it to be released later to amiright achieves:

(Artistry) Nice job incorporating OS lyrics with a current topic. Hal McCray the Cardinals hitting coach?

A Tweet, ever so sweet . . .

Is that where Hal McCray is? How could a life-long Royal be with the Cardinals? Besides the paycheck. Thanks Rex and Tweety.

I'm not sure if the pacing was consistent (others seem to agree with me)...a bit too random for my liking, too.

(Artistry) I'm very unfamiliar with Twitter and the OS, so I'm a little bit lost here. Um...not much else to say, really.

I'm also not too familiar with Twitter, I've never Twittered before in my life although I'm guessing it's a lot like Facebook. I'm glad you've entered with us in the Artistry and also that you stick around for awhile, because I love seeing new artists coming around.

Truth be told, I've never used twitter either. Most of what I know about it is through the news and different radio personalities talking about it. From what I hear about it, it's pretty random which is part of what I was trying to convey in the song, but yeah, it was pretty random. Thanks for the feedback.

I am familiar with tweets as I use it to follow certain websites, like I do with RSS feeds, my thing is a lot of this original song was kept in tact, and though you somehow made it pace right on your recording, you didn't quite nail the pacing here in written format. . .but I applaud you entering the Artistry, and look forward to seeing what you come up with on additional artists, welcome to the contest Medmeia!

On my self-imposed trip through Medemia's archives, as I promised recently, came across this. MY OH MY, how times have changed for this once cute-as-a-button social media platform. Perhaps a revised version is in order, Medemia?
