The Lyrics

As promised, here's a non-Trump parody to break things up. Stan Lee is one of my personal heroes, and while I haven't read every single Marvel comic, consumed every piece of Marvel-related media, or written lots of Marvel parodies, I nevertheless consider myself a True Believer. RIP Stan Lee, 1922-2018. Enjoy the parody.
1922,
Stanley Martin Leiber took a bite from Hylan’s[1] Big Apple.
He had no illusions
That he’d ever be a True Believer[2] his whole life

He had greater dreams, you see,
To entertain you and me,
Timely got him on the road to fame
Things were lookin’ up for Stan,
Him and Kirby[3] were Fantastic[4], man
We owe much to the Man who Marveled

To the Man who Marveled with us
Man who Marveled and fussed
Man who Marveled ‘cross the Eastern sea so blue
Man who Marveled by bus,
There were those who thought him nuts,
They just couldn’t hold a candle to the Man who Marveled
To the Man who Marveled

Mutants in the X-Mansion,[5]
Watching silhouettes of strange irradiated Spider-Men
Shall I stay at the Sanctum,[6]
Or shall I go and face Ol’ Thanos with Cap and Iron Man?

I have greater dreams, you see,
Stan sure inspired me,
Now we’re mourning poor old Stan,
Him and Kirby were Fantastic, man
We owe much to the Man who Marveled

To the Man who Marveled with us
Man who Marveled and fussed
Man who Marveled ‘cross the Western sea so true
Man who Marveled by bus,
There were those who thought him nuts,
They just couldn’t hold a candle to the Man who Marveled

To the Man who Marveled with us
Man who Marveled and fussed
Man who Marveled ‘cross the Eastern sea so blue
Man who Marveled by bus,
There were those who thought him nuts,
They just couldn’t hold a candle to the Man who Marveled
To the Man who Marveled

[break]

To the Man who Marveled with us
Man who Marveled and fussed
Man who Marveled ‘cross the Western sea so true
Man who Marveled by bus,
There were those who thought him nuts,
They just couldn’t hold a candle to the Man who Marveled

To the Man who Marveled with us
Man who Marveled and fussed
Man who Marveled ‘cross the Eastern sea so blue
Man who Marveled by bus,
There were those who thought him nuts,
They just couldn’t hold a candle to the Man who Marveled
To the Man who Marveled
