I wrote this for a friend of mine who loves red velvet cake.
Red Velvet
Had a craving for somethin’ sweet and just right
So I got dressed and climbed into my car
Since I knew Ralph’s was opened until midnight
I’d make it because the drive wasn't that far
When I walked in, I couldn’t hide, my silly grin
Oh what a find, half a cake for a buck ninety-nine

A new recipe flavorful and decadent

So I grabbed one and checked the expiration date
May 2nd sure seemed alright to me
Standing in line my mind was calculating
Just how large my slice was gonna be
After I paid, I just knew, I had it made
In twenty minutes flat, I would be home like that
