Parody Song Title:

"You Got the Forecast Wrong"

Parody Written by:

Merry & Pippin

The Lyrics

Predicts a hurricane
All set to flatten Maine
She was a weatherwoman with a severed brain
She mixed the lows and highs
Over Midwest skies
Mucking about - meteor'logical lies
Cloaking unstable air
She said forecast was clear
There's nowhere to run and now a tornado's here

'Cause my world was shaking
This storm's not fakin'
My house got taken
(As we were makin' it and)

You got the forecast wrong
Yeah you got the forecast wrong

Snowstorm summertime
On Mason-Dixon line
Venture now to opine: she must be blonde or blind
Flaunting weather flaws
Cussed her - no applause
'Fraid she dealed Tennessee the wrong temperatures
Then to cool my town
Here came a typhoon 'round
Now my future looks grim because I can-not swim

'Cause the walls weren't cloaking
The floor was soaking
The flood's inflatin'
There's no abatin' it and

You got the forecast wrong
Yeah you got the forecast wrong

Had waterspouts because you
Got the forecast wrong
You were mistaken yes you
Got the forecast wrong
Said immersion
Meant inversion!

Precipitation - but you
Got the forecast wrong
Screw you!
Got the forecast wrong
Yeah, yeah, you
Got the forecast wrong

The wind is gusty and you
Got the forecast wrong
You're a clot, see, yeah you got the
Forecast wrong

I see you are familiar with the state motto of Virginia:

"Where the weather forecasts have a 90% chance of being wrong". =)

Well done guys, er...girls, er...one of each or whatever! Here's a true story for ya...I was on my way to work one morning, listening to the radio. The weather guy states, "We'll have a low of 60 degrees and a high of 65, here in the Boston area today. It's currently 67 degrees." HELLO????

If you don't like the weather in New England, wait a minute.

Since when can a weatherman predict the weather, let alone the future?
Peregrin - July 21, 2005 - Report this comment
Marty, exactly the point!

Considering how bad this weather girl is, I caution anyone about telling her that the original song's band is from the Southern Hemisphere. Considering how good this parody is, I caution anyone about being surprised that it's by Merry and/or Pippin.

Great to see some good old Acca Dacca - even if it's not Bon Scott.. Brilliant !!!

Nice. Definetly couldn't say you were wrong or that the song was bad. Now if you will excuse me, there is an unexpected tornado down my street I should probaly run from.

TX can sometimes be just as bad...last June, we had record-breaking amounts of rain...this past June, we've had record-breaking drought. Can it be predicted? Never...
