No, but unfortunately some of them do seem quite willing to risk seeing it blown up, if that's what it takes to acheive their aims. Paul Wolfowitz is a good example of this.

mac195 - I went "455" here, and not just because I agree with the sentiments. This was a good job. I might have underrated the pace but it's a tough song in that area and my memory may have thrown off what I was reading. Now politically (oh-oh...), ahhh...1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10..(deep breath) - Paul Wolfowitz is either one of the World's biggest Fools, Idiots or Opportunists!! He seems to me to have been a mid-level bureaucrats looking for a President stupid or sick enough to buy into this weird, insane, perverted fantasy. And he found one...And now people die and we spend our future trying to pick up the pieces. Gee, thanks...Whatta buncha patriots...I think the Founding Fathers would puke at what these guys are doing...That's all I have to say here, another line or two and I'd get in trouble for sure...

Thanks Paul. I'm new at writing these things so the feedback and criticism is good. I guess it is to be expected that some people will hate political parodies because they don't agree with the politics, but as for the "pacing" comments from several people, I'm a bit confused. What exactly are we talking about here? Is the idea to match the original version exactly, syllable for syllable, with the same stress? If so, I think that is a bit limiting. The original artist would not worry about it when singing the song live. I just don't see any serious pacing trouble with this song as I sing it to myself.

mac195 - Well, the pacing thing IS tricky and I cop to being pretty picky in that area sometimes. I personally LIKE to match as exactly as possible on MINE if I can still hold true to what I'm trying to say but that's not any sort of hard & fast rule. I do try to sing the song in my head and like the sounds to be compatible to the original. This is probably a song where that isn't as critical a standard. It's really so subjective and I have to admit this was real close to straight "5" scores to me. I may have even been a little too stringent on you here because I agreed so thoroughly on a political level and may have over-compensated trying not to let that color my voting. Re-reading it now I also recall that when looking at it last night the "square" symbols ("") threw me off because I didn't know what I was supposed to read those as. It may be something most folks are familiar with but I'm not. Can you clarify that for me a little? Always glad to discuss my scoring choices, that why I mention them sometimes along with my other remarks.
