The Lyrics

Kiwis may vote ones, all others please consider fives.... ;-)
You've got fleece
Wool so fine
Our love's so droll - I have this big lust for ovine
'Cus you're my ewe
You're my mouton
Baaa! Sure I'm just a sheepster for your love

A sight so good
Your derriere
I don't want minds perverse maligning our affair
'Cus you're my ewe
You're my mouton
Baaa! Sure I'm just a sheepster for your love

The cliff's too far
It's freezing and it's cold
Can't haul you in my car - I'll do you in the fold
'Cus you're my ewe
You're my mouton
Baaa! Sure I'm just a sheepster for your love

(shearing-shed stompin' music)

Want three bags full
A nursery rhyme for freaks
I'll take a sheep wick dip - your droopy ears I'll tweak
'Cus you're my ewe
You're my mouton
Baaa! Sure I'm just a sheepster for your love

Your inclination
Is to bleat
With privations I'm turning up the heat
'Cus you're my ewe
You're my mouton
Baaa! Sure I'm just a sheepster for your love

I said sure I'm an En Zedder for your love
And I'm gonna............ shear! you

(Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba baaaaa!)

I'm not familiar with the original song, but this thing you've written here just sounds like it was written with real feeling!

Mmmm real feeling indeed. This one will be playing lovingly in shearing sheds throughout the southern hemisphere:-) Its about time someone came out and represented the emotional needs of sheep lovers. Very funny.

Bah Ram Ewe -- that was fun! There was another song on the charts at about the same time as "Jeepster" -- Paul McCartney's remake of "Mary Had a Little Lamb." (This followed his "Ram" album, too--hmmm.) Thank you, M & P, for reminding me of good times in college... because of the SONG, not the subject matter, of course!

Interesting observation re - Paul McCartney there, Mari ! Heehee ! This is really funny ! I had a good giggle. And it IS true that gumboots are the preferred choice of footwear in NZ ! Whaaaat ! :-O

Glad to see I'm in good company with Johnny D and the late Royce Miller in DKTOS. ;) First thought upon being pointed here was "The Boxer" by Simon & Garfunkle. ... Still, well written (IIRC, in ewer later parodies, the end-line v-Aries more), with fave line "I'll do you in the fold". (Probably not very many Yanks would get that these days.) Also liked the sly ref to "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep", and surprised no one mentioned it. ;-D
Also, thanks for showing that the sheep niche (so to speak :) was well-established long before TT first started to curse the AIR with his 16 sheepodies (incl. two with partner in c-rime) in 2007. (No plugs - surprise!) Will trust those who KTOS on pacing, so ram these Fives up the lambpost and see if anyone (esp. Pippin) "salutes". ;)
