New research findings underscore the crucial role this song played in the spurring the Feminist Revolution. Up until the release of this song, American women had been mostly content with their lot. But mere nano-seconds after the lyrics -- But she always knows her place. She's got style she's got grace, She's a winner -- polluted the airways for the first time, American women rose up in one voice and said, "That's it. We're tired of this sh*t"

Thanks, CML, for the v/c and the research findings, of which I was unaware. I meant this to be a take on how Tom Jones would have sung it had he been one of those commitment-phobic types. I guess I should have stated that above the lyrics.

I wasn't making any sort of judgment about you, Leough, or your parody. I was just making a crack about the breathtaking swine-ishness of Tom Jones's original song. My own father was pretty much a typical WWII-generation social conservative, but even he found this song apalling.

CML: I'm in complete agreement with you about the OS. That's what makes it such a perfect target for parody. And I have to listen to the OS every time I listen to the Kim Komando radio show, which gave me the idea of doing the parody. Somebody ought to do one to "Desperado", entitled "Kim Komando."
