Original Song Title:

"Never Been To Spain"

Original Performer:

Three Dog Night

Parody Song Title:

"Pinky and the Brain"

Parody Written by:

Rex Ungericht

Well we're Pinky and the Brain
You might think that we're from Venus
One of us is quite insane now
And the other is a genius
"Mus" is our genus
Nothing comes between us
Oh have you seen us

Brain is just a little lab mouse
But he's got a big ambition
It goes far beyond the White House
It's become his nightly mission
Yes he dreams to,
And he schemes to
Rule the world - he'll rule the world

And he shares a cage with Pinky
Who just wants to be his chum now
But the Pinky brain is dinky
And he's acting kinda dumb now
Mad as a hatter, incessent chatter
His thoughts are scattered
In his gray matter

Pinky hears the voice of Brain
"Do you ponder what I ponder?"
Pinky says "I think I do, Brain --
But how do you shave a condor?"
And Brain keeps trying
And his plans keep dying
He's "why, oh why"-ing

Pinky's yelling "narf!" and "zort!" now
Brain chimes in with a retort now
"Pinky, you're a mousey moron --
Your IQ's the same as boron.
So if you hear me, come over near me
So I may hurt you
So I may hurt you."

Are you pondering what I'm pondering? Well, I'm pondering about unanimous 5's on this fun loving parody. I used to watch Pinky and the Brain, but I don't like the version with Elmyra on it.

(Artistry) Best of this round, hands down. You popped as many of P&TB's elements as was needed and matched the pacing while daring to throw out the original rhyme schemes. (And genus/genius was ingenius!)

Better than "The Brain" I wrote for the Fleetwood Mac round. I loved the straight from the TV show dialouge used in this parody as well. I agree with Agrimorfee, easilly the best of this round.

(Artistry) This is how I see this parody: Rex obviously put the Three Dog Night single and a tape of P&TB in an AwesomeBlender and pressed 'puree'. This was absolutely brilliant, Rex, especially with the lines taken verbatim from the show. 555 for you!

(Artistry) TV/Cinema seems to be the target of choice for this round, You may have a winner on your hands here Rex, despite not being the only Pinky & The Brain parody I've read recently--your style is hard to beat.
