Parody Song Title:

"Violet B."

Parody Written by:

Written for Below Average Dave's 'Artistry' competition, but may become part 1 of a thematic series of parodies.
I'm a used car salesman's daughter
Living comfortably
I found that Golden Ticket from Wonka's company
Says it's gonna be the greatest contest that could ever be
Hey, who turned out the lights?
This boat ride is creepy!

Mama told me to chew gum
Mama told me to chew gum
I am the gum chewing champ-ee-yun! Whoa!

Freak out from that sideshow
And that fat Augustus Gloop
Fell in that river, drinkin'
Then got sucked up through that chute!
That bitch Veruca Salt is smirking
And Mike Tevee's a simp
Let's get more gum and suckers!
(And that Bucket's such a wimp!)

Mama told me to chew gum
Mama told me to chew gum
She said I'll be the gum chewing champion, hon!
I'll be as bright as the sun, hon!

What's that stuff he showin'?
A gum dinner? That's the score!
Let me sample that, my dear friend
Mmm pot roast, wait-- there's more!
One minute--feeling strange
The dessert is now in store
I'm turning blue, screw this!!
I don't wanna chew no more

Mama told me to chew gum
Mama told me to chew gum
She said I'll be the gum chewing champion, hon!
I'll be as bright as the sun, hon!

[AD LIB THROUGH END]
Oompa Loompas! Oompa Loompas!
Dooby da! Dooby da!
Roll me! Roll me! I'm blueberry, I'm blueberry!
This trip is no longer fun
Mom I'm stopping with the gum
Mom I'm stopping with the gum!
I'm being turned and spun!
This trip is no longer fun, done!
This trip is no longer fun, done!

Fun stuff here Agrimorfee. What is this thematic series going to entail? Looking forward to seeing this one follow through. Let's pop "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory" into the VCR, because that's the security code.

It only ust occurred to me that, as far as I know, there hasn't been parodies on C&TCF...perhaps more from me on this subject will come later. Thanks for the 555.

I'm a big fan of Roald, and I liked the first movie (not to keen on Depp in the most recent)...so this was right up my alley. 555

Other than reading CCF, my 2 other favorites of Dahl's are Matilda and The Witches. I enjoyed 2 versions of CCF. I like Violet B. because she had a lot of spunk. Enjoyable. Now that I've read your parody, I'm in the mood to have some gum myself. I wish you luck on BAD's Artistry Competition!

Funny Agri...
I just spent a week in ChicagoLand, shuttling between Aurora and Andersonville (sp?)
One of the things we did there was watch this movie (the Gene Wilder version)
Anyway...Happy New Year !!!

(Artistry) Good job fitting in the names of the ticket-winning kids. Looking forward to the others.

Not a big fan of the original song, but the movie I am a fan of especially the Gene Wilder one, the Johnny Depp one was good because of Tim Burton, but that's the only reason why.

(Artistry) I liked both movies - well, as much as I can recall of the first one, it was so long ago. Still, nice focus on Violet, can't wait to see more of the series! 555!
