The Lyrics

PBS fans of the 1980's remembered this one.
Are you ready, Fred? Uh-huh
Lehrer? Yeah
Elmo? Okay
Alright fellas, let's go!

So this PBS logo
Out came a replica of its face
Right in front of the blue head
And it's leaving a gap to save some space

Oh, I see both parts in the blue, either one had a nose
No eye on the face replica
But it had a shorter neck than the head itself
A brilliant piece of nostalgia

Don't get overexciting
This logo won't be frightening
Though the music was soothing
You don't have to start grooving

Yeah, yeah, PBS
See a gap in-between the blue portions I've seen
Head and second face, a P-head split
With P added to BS, and you'll get PBS
Three letters under P-head split
P-head split [repeat four times]

When that "and on" repeating
Invaded the logo coming through
Oh, some of you kinda surprised
Pursued by shadows that would amaze you

No "broadcasting services" lettering shown
Neither did the green-colored S
Or the yellow-colored B or the word "public"
That logo's like three heads in one, I guess

It won't get too fantastic
It's a real good classic
Lay off the P-pals dancing
Or Dash and Dot prancing

Yeah, yeah, PBS
See a gap in between the blue portions I've seen
Head and second face, a P-head split
With P added to BS, and you'll get PBS
Three letters under P-head split
P-head split [repeat four times]

Don't get overexciting
This logo won't be frightening
Though the music was soothing
You don't have to start grooving

Yeah, yeah, PBS
See a gap in-between the blue portions I've seen
Head and second face, a P-head split
With P added to BS, and you'll get PBS
Three letters under P-head split
P-head split [repeat four times]

It's it's P-head split
It's it's P-head split
It's it's P-head split
Yeah, it's P-head split
