The Lyrics

I may be busy but I am always on the lookout for my next parody tune and here it is! For those of you too young to remember firsthand the USSR, perhaps this might open your eyes. I have said for years that the Bear wasn't gone in 1991; it only rested in a cave wounded, angry and forever hungry. Now that it has finally emerged from its cave, I can say I told you so...no, the Crimean situation calls more for a parody than for perfidy. Oli - short term for Oligarch Poland defeated a Bolshevik army outside of Warsaw in 1920 and revenge was what the USSR gained during WW II and the ecological destruction of parts of Poland later.
Bear in the Crimea

(Sung to 'Fire on the Mountain by The Marshall Tucker Band)

Kievan Rus once controlled this place...
until they disappeared without much of a trace...
Muscovy, USSR then the CIS
The Russians never tire
of thuggery I guess!

Now there's a Bear in the Crimea
Détente up in the air
You didn't listen when I said it was still there...

The USSR fell apart, that much is true...
But if you think Russia's changed, then get a clue...
The younger generations still think Russia is our friend..
I think they had best change
their mental Depends!

Because there's a Bear in the Crimea
and a cancer like disease...
called USSR-osis and it will not be appeased...

The Oli's have Russia's GDP by the balls
while the Nationalists now walk through Duma halls...
Vlad the Putin is a power that won't fade...
as we hear another of his tirades!

Now there's a Bear in the Crimea
conflict in the air
The bear is alive and well and is waiting for you there...

The bear is sated for now, hear it burp
as a Russian thug plays a POTUS twerp...
Will Russia stop there; who the hell knows...
Will Poland again give them a bloody nose?!

And there's a Bear in the Crimea
danger we can see...
Will it be enough to touch off WW III?

Yeah, WW III!!!
